now for those not aware of who Stella is, thats the lady who sued McD\'s for spilling hot coff on herself and won

What follows is a list of suits that where won in the yr 2002.

1) K. Robertson of Austin Tx was awarded $780,000 by a jury of her peers after breaking a ankle falling over a toddler in a store. the owners were astonded when she won the suit, considering the toddler afore mentioned was her own misbehaving child.

2) A 19 y/o C. Truman of Los Angeles won $74,000 +medical expenses when his neighbor ran overe his hand. seems truman didnt notice anyone behind the wheel as he attempted to steal the hubcaps.

3)T Dickson of Bristol Penn, was leaving a house he had just finished robbing by way of the garage. He was not able to get the garage door open because the remote was malfunctioning. The house door had locked behind him so he was unable to return that way. The family was on vacation and he was stuck in the garage 8 days, duing which time he had to live on a case of Dr Pepper and dry dog food. He sued the homeowners claiming the situation caused him undue mental anguish. the jury awarded him $500,000.

4) J Williams of Little rock Ark, was awarded $14,500 and medical expenses after being bitten on the butt by his neighbors beagle. The beagle was chained in his own yard that was fenced no less. the jury didnt award the amount asked for($50k) as they felt the beagle had just cause having repeated been shot with a pellet gun.

5) A Pliladelpia resturant was ordered to pay $113,500 to A. Carson of Lancaster, PA, after she fell and broke her tail bone on a soft drink on the floor, a soft drink that had gotten there 30 seconds before from her tossing it at her boyfriend.

6) K Walton of Claymont Del, successfully sued the owner of a nightclub when she fell from a bathroon window to the floor and knocked out two front teeth, she was breaking into the club to avoid the $3.50 cover charge and won $12,000+ dental expenses.

And the Grand winner is:
Mr M. Grazinski of OKlahoma OK, who purchased a brand new 32ft winnebago motor home. On his 1st trip he set the \'cruise control\' on 70mpf and calmly left the drivers seat to go into the back and make himself coffee. No surprisingly the home ran off the road and overturned. he sued winnebago saying the owners manual didnt advise him that he couldnt actually do this. he was awarded $1,750,000 +a new motor home. the kicker is that winnebago actually rewrote the manual to cover this so other moron buying thier homes wouldnt do it.

only in America huh ?? /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif

Everyone but the defendants deserves life in front of a firing squad~

This is why we need tort reform.
