Got this off my football forum, but thought it might spark an interesting topic here..
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shameful, I know...a thread about dancing on a football forum.
I do want to say that I generally hate dancing. But it\'s inevitable when you\'re out with friends or at a party that some chick will grab you and pull you out with a group of people, and you either play along or look like a retard and pull away.

So, unless I\'m drunk and don\'t give a crap what I look like, I\'m always out there thinking \"what the hell do I do with my arms?\" Chicks can get away with just about anything, but most guys just seem to let their arms hang and jerk around unnaturally. It looks dumb. What should one do?

I will now share, free of charge, bivonic\'s surefire dance sequence.
Guaranteed to make you look like an idiot on your own terms.

Step 1 - Stir the Soup -- Clasp your fists together and make a circular motion starting from the shoulder.

Step 2- Plant the seeds -- Place one palm up. Reach to the palm with your other hand. Now, with the other hand \"scatter\" the imaginary seeds down an imaginary line of crops.

Step 3 - You gotta water em -- A classic. One hand behind your head. The other arm extended shoulder height in front of you. Rotate at the waist and wiggle those spirit fingers!

Step 4 - Mow that lawn -- Step to the side and push your arms down low. Step back and do the same thing to the other side.

You are now dancing like a pro.

Can\'t forget the \"The Sailor\"....my friend perfected it.
Hike up your pants, crouch down in a bit of a squatting position, put your hand above your eyes to shield the sun and slowly peer from left to right around the room, but bop your arse to the music.

These are classics too, must add to your arsenal...

1. The Bus Driver - make a circular motion with your left hand like you are steering a bus, then open the bus door with your right hand and wave the people in.

2. The brick layer - grab a \"brick\" from the pile. With the free hand, trowel some mortar on it, and place it on the \"wall\"

3. Whisking the eggs - hold the bowl of eggs under your arm, and with the other hand, whisk them in a circular motion

Here are a few I came up with:
1. The \"Shoot the moon\"
Unbuckle imaginary trousers and pull them down. Then bend over and put your head between your knees. You can have your partner spin you around for additional effect.
2. The \"pull a loogy out of your nose\"
This one is a classic and will amaze your date. Pull an imaginary 3 foot booger out of your nose. Roll it into a ball between your palms. Then using your middle finger and thumb shoot the loogy ball high into the air, waiting below with mouth wide open to catch it. See how long you can hold your date\'s attention waiting for the loogy to arrive.
3. Open the fridge
Now this is an oldy, but in my variation, you pull too hard, the door hits you in the face, and if you are really good, you can have the entire fridge fall on top of you.

Kids! Don\'t try these dance moves at home.

Ever noticed that one guy that looks really cool with all his moves, I mean, he\'s getting really funky, how the hell does he do that? Jeez, I wish I had his style...

Well, thats me, no kidding.

1) The box stacker: There is an imaginary box in front of you, place hands either side, and put box on shelf, repeat untill all boxes are correctly tidied.
2) Burning man: You\'re on fire /ubbthreads/images/icons/wink.gif!! wave limbs in an attempt to extinguish the flames.
3) Thrust \'n hand jive: Alternate between thrusting and hand jiving (use of arms during the thrust phase is essential), don\'t be affraid to REALLY go for it with the thrusting, all those people staring are actually impressed.

You should probably take it easy with the thrusting part. You don\'t want to knock people over on the dance floor. /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif

I got some great hits last night performing the \"Basic Twirl\" & \"Stir the Pot of Love\", I had the whole bar cracking up, \"Ride the Pony\" was just o.k., but \"the Sailor\" got the best reactions.
