Folks,
Hey, let\'s get together face to face! Pherocon is going to happen this March 21-23 in Laughlin, Nevada (daytime avg temp 85 deg. F). Meet me, Phil Stone of Stone Labs, James Kohl author of Scent of Eros (probably), Daryn Pithey of Lacroy Chem (if enough folks register), Whitehall and hopefully a host of other forum greats. The conference is free. All you have to do is pay for your room and meals which are very cheap. Worst that could happen is you will get to sip a pina colada poolside with us and chew the fat. If we get enough folks to register, you will hear some spiffy presentations by some of the leading players in the pheromone cologne world, and witness first-hand Whitehalls system for recording \"hits\". :-)

Check the online travel agencys like Travelocity. There are often very good round trip airfares into Vegas, which is a 90 minute bus ride from Laughlin. You might even find a package with lodging included.

Id think that airfares would be dirt cheap in the united states at the moment given all the UAL going bankrupt and all the discounting going on, on a economic note not a good time to invest in the US airline industry, however the asian carriers are profitable and looking like a good investment medium term in the stocks to generate returns.

Im sure that u could also purchase love-scent products there as well, maybe some new experimental stuff as well.

Spiking the hot tub might also be helpful although I would think it would dissapate quickly.

Not EW. The ingredients in copulins are rather simple, thermally stable chemicals. They would volatilize in the warm water but that\'s how they get into your darling\'s nose and do their psychoactive thing to her libido.

Would the hot tub kill the pheromones? The instructions with the chemset indicate you can warm them in water of not over 150 C. A hot tub doesn\'t get anywhere near that temp.

I\'d rather see it in Vegas to justify the cost to get out there, maybe I\'m used to the big city (NYC), but a 90 minute bus ride seems kind of far to me. Why we doing it in hicksville again? /ubbthreads/images/icons/wink.gif

We are still not set on which hotel and I am open to Vegas now. I just wanted something a little cleaner and quieter than central Vegas. We also had a regular forum member working at on of the big casino hotels in Laughlin. I haven\'t had any luck getting in touch with him and I just got an email from a forum member living in Vegas and interested in helping with arrangements, so I am starting to lean heavily in the Vegas direction now. I\'ll keep you posted.

We will arrange a deal at a hotel where we can all stay. Just hang tight for that for a little longer. For now check about flights to Vegas and possibly package deals with hotel thrown in.

I am leaning back towards Laughlin again. Vegas is only 90 minutes North of Laughlin, but 3000 ft higher elevation. Laughlin is much warmer, which this time of year is a good thing. I\'m really looking forward to some warm pool weather.

There is an airport in Laughlin, but flights are all from Phoenix, so you would have to change planes there. Flying into Vegas is a good option though. You can catch a bus straight from there to Laughlin, but renting a car is probably the better way to go; totally mellow drive through the desert.
