For those that use Alter Ego

Im about to receive my order soon. I previously have used the edge, and plan to wear it while im wearing alter ego. My question is Where, and how much of alter ego do you put on, and how much of the edge should you use along with it. Also since Alter Ego seems to have a nice smell do you still need to cover it with cologne or does it cover the pheros?
