It\'s not like I couldn\'t buy Everclear (I\'m well over 21), but why use something more expensive than ordinary rubbing alcohol? I\'m not a chemist, so forgive me if this is a dumb question, but is there something in normal tap water or store-bought isopropyl alcohol that\'s bad for pheromones? These issues will soon become very relevant since I\'ll probably receive my order of EW tomorrow. /ubbthreads/images/icons/shocked.gif

Yeah. Pheros are only minutely soluable in water. Isopropyl stinks. It will work - Andro 4.2 is made up in it. If you are going to use rubbing alcohol, make sure it is Isopropyl. The ethyl rubbing alcohol out there has really nasty stuff in it that you don\'t want on your skin. And it really stinks.

Buy Everclear.

Follow-up: for pheromone-mixing purposes, what\'s the difference between the 75% variety of Everclear and the 90 or 95% (190 proof)? I\'ve seen both mentioned here, but haven\'t seen their merits contrasted. Is there any difference in cost? Since Everclear seems to be (very roughly) 10x more expensive than isopropyl, it\'d be good to get cheap Everclear, if it works just as well.
