The commonly accepted statistic is that 25% of men and a comparble amount of women can\'t smell aNONE. I think we should take a poll to verify this.

I\'m not sure about this poll because I find that things which are sold as -none smell quite differently to me.

For example I don\'t smell much in NPA, but chem set -none has a particular odor I can detect.

Thats funny, because some people say just the opposite.

There are things in NPA that overpower the aNONE for those that are sensitive to them. I can smell both loud and clear; some can smell one; some can smell the other.

I can smell -NONE, but it does not smell like a cat piss for me. I smell it as moderately pleasent.

then what did you respond?

Remember after exposure to strong aNone over a month or so a lot more people become sensitive to it. Might make the poll a little unbalanced.

I replied YES on the poll

Thats quite odd, I\'d think that exposure would make you less sensitive. the same way that sniffing your own cologne makes you less sensitive to it

The problem with the polls here on the love-scent forum is that you can vote more than once. Yes, I did it, I am sorry, but I had to try it out!

Franki,
There is a screen on the voting script designed to keep users from voting twice, but it uses your IP address and nothing more. When I was in Japan using a dial up account each and every time I connected to the internet I got a different IP address. That is rarely the case with N. American users I believe so the screen is somewhat effective. There are a lot of ways to get around it and it doesn\'t have any effect at all on many non-US/Canada users, so we really have to go on the old \"honor system\". I think we all are interested in getting accurate results in a poll like this, so we shouldn\'t have too much trouble.

I\'m not upset, but can you tell me what both votes were, and if you can smell it so that i can adjust it at the end?

I agree. NPA strait from the bottle the dominant smell is alcohol, but when applied it\'s a nice musky smell. Mixed with SPMO...I think it\'s a wonderful smell.

I can even detect -none in AE even the new one. I´m pretty sensitive to smells most of the time. And I can tell the difference of my own body scent when I wear something containig -none or just -nol like PI/w or PF/w. CJ

a BUMP is when you want a thread back at the top of the pages for quick and apparently more feedback if it gets to far back into the archieves never to be seen again.

O I guess that the original 25% statistic wasnt too far off, according to the results, about 1/3 people cant smell aNONE. Its not too late to vote if you havnt already.

BTW 60% of statistics are incorrect
