I had been trying without luck to break into the line of links just below the thick black bar, then suddenly realized I had easy access to the area just above it. Hopefully new folks will notice it.
BTW, let me know if the change causes any layout problems for anyone. I noticed a few strange things happening myself when I first made the change, but got them fixed at least on my machine.

I can barely see it. I didn\'t even notice it until I read this thread.
I have my forum set in desert color and the blue Pheremone Reference Material link doesn\'t stand out until I move my head to see the screen at a different angle.
Imo BLACK is much bolder and more noticeable than blue
A link on the message board to where all the NEW guys can go is a good idea, instead of the pros repeating themselves over and over again.
