Just a suggestion here, but wouldnt it be a much better experience buying from this site, if you could buy a single syringe or pipette. Allowing us to start mixing straight away!!!

Because all ive found is companies trying to sell syringes\'s in bulk e.g. 100 or 200

Yeah, actually a mixing kit would be very usefull. It\'s annoying to have to search for the right syringe/pipette/bottle/vial etc.

Bruce? Any thoughts?

Here is a link for 3 ml syringes. I use them and they are very cheap.

http://shop.store.yahoo.com/countrysidepet/needsyr.html (\"http://shop.store.yahoo.com/countrysidepet/needsyr.html\")

They are like 20 cents each syringe/needle combo.
Not too shabby eh?

You can purchase as few as 10 disposable pipettes at:

well your suggestions are very helpful, cheers guys, but this just reinforces my statement, because i dont really want to own 10 syringes!!!

I think bruce should buy a bulk order of them, and then sell them separetly to the customers, makes good business sense

I didn\'t realize there was that big a demand for them. We have a few hundred in stock, but normally we just give them away with the kits and A1 purchases. I\'ll see how many we have. Maybe I can get that set up right away. One problem we have is with customs holding up entire shipments (overseas orders only of course) because of one item that catches their attention. The DI (now AI) supplement was causing that problem, and we fear that syringes in a package with names like \"andro\" etc are going to cause further problems.
Cheers,
Bruce

Well this is probably a moot point, since Bruce appears to be preparing to grant your wish, but...

I never suggested that you \"own 10 syringes!!!\". The subject of my post was <a target=\"_blank\" href=http://store1.yimg.com/I/cagebird_1687_6994723> plastic disposable transfer pipettes.</a> You referenced a single pipette in your original post. I don’t know if you took the time to click on the link that I provided, but the 3½ in./1ml. pipettes are small, lightweight and graduated. Ten is not an unreasonable number for this kind of work. Whether you are mixing concentrates or NPA w/ APC, they work fairly well and having more than one avoids cross contamination, if that’s a concern. Finally, at $1.10 per ten pipettes it’s as affordable (if not more affordable) than just one syringe.

Arg .. again .. again.

I\'d like to order 200 of them, but they are only for US,VI and PR customers. *sigh*

No problem… and by the way, I do agree that syringes and pipettes would be a nice addition to Love-Scent. Great topic, thanks for posting it.

Andy:

The following company has the 3 inch pipettes, and it looks like they ship outside the US. I have not dealt with them before so this is only an FYI. They also carry a bellows pipette, and a cool lab syringe.

Sunburst Bottle Company is probably the way to go. They have credibility, and a nice selection. Also, you don’t have to by a gross and they don’t require a minimum order. This said, I can’t say for certain that they ship to the UK, but their order form does have a form field for \"Country\". You could inquire by sending them an email message at: info@sunburstbottle.com (\"info@sunburstbottle.com\")

Their web site is: <a target=\"_blank\" href=http://www.sunburstbottle.com/cat13.html>http://www.sunburstbottle.com/cat13.html</a>

If this doesn’t work out, let me know and I’ll dig into my bookmarks for other companies that sell small quantities of bottles, and that ship outside the US.

Good Luck,

I usually just use straws to transfer whatever. I got the syringe from L-S, but haven\'t used it, just because I don\'t know how to get it REALLY clean. I\'ve had this problem with scented oils, where the scent doesn\'t really come entirely out, even soaking the container in alcohol. I\'ve used breath-drops bottles, but even then, though alcohol-and-sugar based, the smell stays. Lucky for me, it was minty! /ubbthreads/images/icons/smile.gif

Try rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol. It\'s a more aggressive solvent than EtOH.

That\'s what I use... And the good stuff, too; the 91% alcohol, rather than that 50-70% stuff. I\'ve let thing soak for a WEEK and could still smell the previous tenant.

Thanks again!
