For all you Andron fans out there, through my diligent searching of the Net I\'ve found a source for Andron which I am happy to share.

Two problems:
1) This is a re-creation so probably doesn\'t contain pheromones and may have lesser ingredients,
2) You have to order from the Persian Gulf - Bahrain, to be exact. By mail.

Now, I haven\'t tried this version yet but my plan is to order a bottle or two and add NPA or chem set ingredients (from Bruce) to taste. I can not yet vouch for their quality or service. I would speculate that some of the power of the orginal Jovan version was due to classic SPBs or the equivalent from some other species since Andron contained musk, civet, and castorium, ad nauseaum. Don\'t know about this version but I doubt they have any non-economic reluctance to use animal products.

Keep us posted. I have never smelled the original. If this stuff is even close, I would like to get some myself.

Thanks,
B

I don\'t know, Whitehall... I truly doubt this product contains pheromones. Does anyone know why Jovan stopped making Andron? Sounds like it was a hit product. Maybe, the results were too good for a mainstream product (?).

Some Jovan products (which may or may not have included Andron) apparently contained 7-Acetyl tetramethyl ethyl tetralin, a synthetic musk fragrance which was later found to be a severe neurotoxin and was withdrawn from the market.

That may be why it was discontinued...

Hi Bruce, xvs, all,

Luckily, my old Jovan Andron doesn\'t mention that neurotoxin.

Alcohol 39C, Water, Androstenol, and Benzophenone

It is VERY STRONG smelling and gives good results in small amounts. Smells very similar to Ralph Lauren\'s \"CHAPS\"

To anyone interested in Magick, this would have been the cologne that Allistair Crowley would have worn. ( Musk, Civet, Ambergus, etc. ) Powerful stuff images/icons/smile.gif

Bruce. I\'ll see if I can send a \"test\" paper of Andron in a sealed Glad bag for
you with my next mail order.

I presume that the \"New Andron\" doesn\'t contain pheromones but I\'ve sent an email to Bahrain asking for the ingredients. (Fat chance!)

My plan is to presume no pheromones - just classics like real musk and civet (SPB) - and add my own - probably NPA and maybe SoE unless I get a chem set.

I agree that it is very strong smelling. I would think that it was discontinued partially due to a change in fashion - I\'ve always connected Andron with the Disco craze of the \'70s and gold chains and polyester shirts. Something Dirk Diggler in \"Boogie Nights\" would wear.
