Has anyone tried Tobacco

Vanille edt by Tom Ford (Private Blend)? Is it as good as it sounds ? I've read the Basenotes reviews. Thanks.

I'm gonna give this a shot.

It's hard to find a cologne that stands out enough to receive compliments on its own. I'll order a sample today.

Also, after watching the Axe Leather scent commercials I researched a scent in that area. Cuiron and Cuir De Orange

seem to fit the bill for the leather scent. They both are reviewed on Basenotes. I'll let you know what I find.

Thanks Peregrine. I believe that Tobacco Vanille smells like pipe tobacco & had

very good reviews at 'the other place'.

I like edts which have a mellow smell when on the skin for a while & I

think women do too. Gucci Envy is good for this.

Any other suggestions anyone ?

P.S. Our avatar eyes look

similiar - I have always admired your avatar - a nobel bird.

Just be careful especially with

anything with a tobacco note. I tried one from a specialty place that I will refer to by the initials LP(M)P. It was

awful as far as I was concerned. Also, I did try to give it a fair test, but found a fair number of people do react

badly to tobacco scents. Some pipe tobaccos are indeed really nice (I rather liked some that I tried way back when)

so it may work out, but be prepared for some potential bad reactions.
