Tonight's episode of "Boston Legal" featured a case where a Las Vegas casino supposedly used synthetic pheromones
designed to create a more comforting environment in which to lose by gambling longer. At a recent olfactory
conference, I was approached with this in mind. It is feasible, but when the concept first appears with regards to
litigation, it will no doubt force research underground.
Product marketing claims that wearing human
pheromones somehow makes you irresistable will probably lead some producer to present a rape case in a similar
venue.
