Yeah Holmes! You go boy! Here's
to another year of dummer jokes and movie trivia. OK, what's this Jim Carrey line from:
"Hello Cherie, we meet
aagain?"
Happy birthday dude!

Thanks everyone!
Yeah, I wish I could figure out how to slow down this bullet train to Oldfartsville. Suggestions appreciated.
Cat - great to see you around! What are you up to these days?
Bruce - The Mask, no?
Drummer jokes? Well,
I have recently started doing some work for Modern Drooler again, so it looks like I'll have access to a
neverending supply.

Happiest of birthdays to you.
May this year be your best!
You really write for MD? Can I touch you? (appropriately of course)
What were we
thinking when we decided to get born? Jeez. At least our old years fly by faster. :) Next life I'm starting guitar
at a younger age.

Correct...
OK, Bill Murray line.... one of his best movies
"Yeah, the women are
nice. Especially after the torture."
BTW, what's Modern Drooler?

I think he meant Modern
Drummer, but I reserve the right to be mistaken, as Mobes says.

Holmes, I stay young by
hanging with musicians and artists; and, well, being one. I know you can relate to that. It's like an "artificial"
(real? I really mean atypical) world where young values; young ideas; thoughts outside the box, rule. It's a kind
of mental fertility.
If you can take care of youself physically on top of that...
One of my good friends
here is a professional magician, and a very well-respected one nationally. He is 50, fat, bald, grey, has a heart
condition, and is missing front teeth (from when the "wrong guy's" girlfriend came on to him).
He is also the
one of the biggest chick magnets I've ever met. He makes them giggle and squeal loudly in groups which form around
him. He is into his art, and exudes this charisma and confidence about it. Twenty-somethings ask to kiss him and go
home with him all the time. Sometimes I've seen three at once do that. They tell him he is making them wet.
He
is another person who comes across as young, even without "visual cues to that effect."

This thread is from 2007, so it
looks like we missed it last year. Anyway, Happy Birthday Holmes.
I find denial to be very useful in staying
young. :D
