Oceanborn, I'm so amazed at the response they (supposingly Armani) sent you! I even asked the lady that sold me my
BLACK code to take a sniff because I thought they were two different scents, and she said yes as well. Hmmmmmmmmm
squange!
Bel, you can give him my email address, and if you want, you can delete all the other
Armani stuff so the Mix PI with? thread can stay on course.
Thanks!

It's official ... went and pick
up the last bottle of Armani BLACK Code ... had the sales lady, a hot blonde, maybe late 20s, to make sure I wasn't
just getting old and losing my smeller. We compared Armani Code to Armani Black Code ... they are
NOT the same. :nono: Bought the last bottle and an expensive as hell bottle of its lotion.
Can't
believe someone just lied to you, Oceanborn ... and from their company?
Anywho, my report for today,
which happened yesterday. :run:

Assuming it is true... why would Armani want to change the formula of a product that was working so
well?

If you Google "The Black Codes" you will see why Armani changed the name. Plus, a group of eighth
graders had an online petition against the name, I suppose Armani felt it should change the name and keep everything
on the down-low.
I agree with MobleyC, the scents have changed. I have seen online the description for Black
Code with one type of notes and Code with another type of notes. Maybe they are keeping that on the down-low too.

First we have the Da Vinci Code
mayham, and now Da Black Code... If this is true, I'd better start hunting for 'em like Tamagotchis!

Just obtained a very rare bottle
of Black Code! After an entire day of searching, I managed to find the very last bottle of this potion
stacked in the archives of a small, humble but cozy perfume shop.
Yes indeed, the smells are different. Not
unlike two glasses of milk from two different cows. Black Code is spicier, like it has pepper added to it.
The difference is subtile, not that apparent.
The formula hasn't been changed. Just that the caliber
of herbs thrown into the caldron are different.
I was out today at a local mall and
got pulled aside by a sexy young thing giving away shots of cologne.
Well blow me down but there's a new (?)
product from ralph lauren called "double black code" , she said that it's new but a lot of people think it's the
usual "black code" and was impressed that I spotted the difference.(? wow, I can read!) mmm, now hows that for
confusing...
so many "codes" , so little time!

ARMANI "BLACK" CODE
OWNERS: Does anyone have a link to any company/store still selling Armani Black Code (the one with Black on the
bottle!)? I sure would appreciNate it. \o/
I know it hasn't totally cleared the market ... just having a hard
time finding it.
Just bought me another bottle of the lotion this past weekend ... it was the last of the
lotion. :frustrate
Thanks one, thanks all!

Re-formula
tion is a common trend these days, both for cost reasons and for European IFRA guidelines which "blacklists" (excuse
the pun) certain ingredients if a Parisian housewife gets a rash. The rules are not legal and binding, so all the
fragrance manufacturers need do is put a disclaimer on the label, but their knee-jerk reaction is to act like the
airlines, and deny peanuts to peanut lovers. The result is uniformly inferior fragrances. Classic/vintage perfume
lovers are outraged. Its like Photoshopping the Mona Lisa.

More info for the Black Code
users. I guess sooner or later, it will be a thing of the past, but ...
Armani Black Code Eau de

citrus
freshened woody Oriental blend.
Spiced
bergamot brightens a subtle olive flower heart, while
Tonka bean and
guaiac wood create a warm, sophisticated finish that‘s sure to invite a caress.
Armani Black Code is the new oriental-inspired fragrance for men from designer Giorgio Armani.
This sophisticated and irresistibly attractive fragrance develops gradually, reacting differently with each man's

How can they tell us they're the same?
They shouldn't be, but who knows what the
pretty-smelling girls are told to say?
The industry uses words like "updated" when they reformulate a scent.
Since Armani changed the name, its obvious they're not trying to pull a fast one.
Its a shame. Cartier did this
to one of my faves a few years ago.
BTW, were you able to score any?

BTW, were
you able to score any?
I don't know yet, but I've search the net and called 4 different places, and
made sure to ask if it was Armani Code or Black Code on the bottles. This is the only place that "said" it was Black
Code. I ordered two bottles, just in case. I've ordered before from the net where it said Black Code, but with my
box got here ... t'was Armani Code ... I sent it back.
Just got my "It's being shipped" email today. Will come
back and let you know for sure in 3-5 days. I've got my fingers crossed. If it's Black Code, I may order another
two bottles ... that should do well for the next 2-3 years for night outs ONLY.

UPDATE: Well, I ordered
on 27 Feb, and just now getting "your order was shipped" email this a.m. The package is scheduled to
arrive tomorrow ... 7 Mar. The place takes orders and does not have the products in house, so ...
Will it be
Armani Black Code or Armani Code?
To be continued..... :frustrate

I told them that if it didn't
read Armani Black Code to cancel my order. I got Armani Code! :frustrate
Guess they thought I wouldn't go
through the trouble of sending it back. Are they in for a surprise.

Mobes, have you tried any of
these sources? You probably have, but thought I might try. These links all show "Black Code".
I'd be happy to
help you out getting the real thing from ebay. Seriously, let me know. I can get your email address from your
registration, and can email you directly with your permission, assuming your registration address is current.

Thanks a million, Id!
A couple of'em I've called, and they
had the Armani Code along with the "it's the same" thing response.
I give up, and I'm keeping the two bottles
of Armani Code that I have. I own two bottles of the Black Code lotion, so I'll try tricking my nose by applying
the lotion, and then a spray or two of the AC.

Never give up!!
I sampled the new Code again last weekend and was offended. My g/f wrinkled her
nose into a thousand folds and told me "no sex until you wash it off"! j/k of course, but its a cheap imitation of
the original.
I'm watching a one ounce shrink-wrapped original Black EDT on ebay. 10.95 with no bid yet, 3 days
to go.
