Folks,

Over the years I have experimented quite a bit with various natural health foods, vits, herbs,

treatments of various kinds etc. etc. Here is a list of stuff that I have found useful and have stuck with for the

most part. Feel free to add your own ideas. Maybe we can come up with a master list. None of this should be taken

as medical advice. Just felt like sharing things I have personally tried and feel are at least worth looking into.

If you have specific medical problems, you should absolutely get professional help.

My secrets to a long

healthy and happy life list:

First the free (or relatively cheap) ones:
* Physical labor or weight

training
* Aerobic excercise
* Eating at intervals and only when hungry (ie: not continually snacking)
*

Regular fasting (lemon and water) (1 day every couple of weeks)
* Regular bathing
* Vegetarian diet
*

Eating yogurt every day
* Eating mostly raw food (fruit, nuts, seeds, vegies, raw juices, sprouts etc)
*

Eating organic food
* Breathe clean air
* Drink clean water
* Getting up early in the morning
*

Yoga asanas
* Regular spiritual practises (meditation, prayer etc)
* A peaceful heart
* Laughter
*

Helping others

Now the ones that run into some money and you probably want to get some professional

guidance:
* Various vitamin and herb supplements
* Parasite cleansing (Hulda Clarke treatment)
* Zappers

(Hulda Clarke treatment)
* Heavy metal cleansing
* Colon cleansing
* Regular massage
* Homeopathic

treatment
* Acupuncture treatment
* Hydrogen peroxide therapy

Now the ones mainly for us "oldsters" and

you definitely want to get some professional guidance on these:
* Growth hormone stimulation (wt. training and

"Secretagogues")
* Over the counter hormone replacement (DHEA, melatonin etc)
* Smart drugs and nutrients

Add laughter to the list bruce. I

am big advocate of this. Also i think you have merit on a lot of the things you mentioned.Especially meditation,

pranas. These exercises can give you enormous clarity, which coupled with awareness on a spiritual level. Can also

lead to love and peace of mind in the truest sense. Recentlly i had a stressful period of my life,with a few

personal problems. The two major things that helped no end was. 1. exercise= running and weight programs, which i

have been doing for years. 2. yoga and meditation= More clarity and betterunderstanding of my purpose on a spiritual

side. Which i am exploring with a much greater awareness these days. Good stuff guys.

MM,

Interesting that you should

ask that, because I have thought about that irrigation type thing from time to time, but really don't know much

about it other than all the ads you see around in the alternative health magazines. What I meant by that item on

the list was internal diet type stuff. When I was in my 20s once, I went on an extended fast, which started with a

couple of days of eating only organic apples and daily enemas. Very nasty stuff came out but eventually the water

came back out completely clean. If you try this, I highly recommend getting the help of a qualified health

practitioner.

Woofa,

Absolutely. Laughter is a fantastic medicine. I will add it now. When I saw your list

of things that got you thru your trial, a third one popped into my mind that has gotten me thru some tough times

along with the 2 you mentioned.... making others happy. I used to teach a large yoga/meditation class in Boston

years ago, and one time I had a guest teacher who in addition to teaching meditation ran a home for orphaned kids in

Haiti. He started his presentation like this: "My mother often told me 'If you want to be happy, make others

happy'"

Peace Love and all that wonderful stuff,
B

Please give me more details of how to do that.

It sounds very interesting and easy to do and certainly worth trying. Also, since I don't read the magazines, do

you know of any warnings that should be avoided when trying the flushing way? Thanks in advance.

Bruce,
Please allow me to

add 1 more often overlooked thing to your list and that is taking time to appreciate yourself. We often take the

goods we do in life and forget about them and only remembering our mistakes. Appreciating our accomplishments can

take the mind to many new levels, or at least it has for me.
Great topic by the way.

www.drnatura.com (http://www.drnatura.com)

This is a colon cleansing site, with pictures. So be

ready. I've tried the Kleri tea and it works well. I've also tried the Paranil. I never did see any critters in

my stool, thank God.

Keeping in mind that they are

selling a particular product, that site is worth a look. If nothing else as a wake up call, but maybe also as a

start to further research on the subject.

Myself I fast twice a month on lemon water and try to eat a lot of

fruits, nuts, whole grains and fresh vegies. No meat, fish, or eggs.

Could someone please tell a

little more about the growth hormone stimulation thing? I'm very small and also have a very high pitch voice

something that bothers me alot.
