View Full Version : mixes & colongne dilution

I

was thinking of making a JB#1 or a DD#1 mix (or possibly a DD Lite mix - a.k.a. version) and put it in my

poket-sized atomizer (bought from L-S).
But this is my first time making a mix in a place other than on my own

body... and I don't wanna have to waste a lot of `mones.
So I was thinking of mixing in some of my cologne (I have

a few choices... D&G, XS, or my new code black).
I was wondering how much cologne should I put in, and how much

would it affect the mix...?
Should I put more of the mix on, since the cologne diluted it? How much more?

Hmmm... I really didn't think it's gonna be that confusing :\
Maybe it's just the excitement :p:o

I

realize this question has probably been asked before. If you prefer giving me a reference instead of an answer -

feel free to do so.
I just didn't know what to search for.

I like to mix Burberry Weekend

and NPA in a 4:1 or 5:1 ratio, maybe add a dash of A-1. Any more NPA and the funk begins to leak through. A lot of

colognes don't cover 'none or 'rone well, so you have to choose colognes on the strong and long lasting side. I

have another atomizer premixed with Weekend, nol and rone, sort of a New York SOE.

If you're experimenting, you

don't have to fill the bottle. Since I know well the ratios that work for me, I mark off the atomizer and fill to

the brim. However you could measure your proporations in drops or with a graduated pipette and only fill a fraction

of the bottle.

I have syrigens with

ml-measurements on them... measuring shouldn't present a problem.

Although the colognes I own don't all get out

of the bottle in a convinient way (they gotta be sprayed out into the syrigen to be mesured - which might be a bit

problematic).

But although I got some info from your answer (the idea of not filling the atomizer to the fullest

is brilliant and somewhat new to me lol... how silly of me not to think of it myself), and I very much appritiate

you answering...

The most important question remains unanswered: The ratios...
If I wanna make a

JB#1\DD#1\DD-Lite and dilute it with a cologne...
How much should I dilute it with? 50%-50%? more? less?
And how

much should I put on then?

Hmmm... Maybe I should try a 50%formula-50%cologne dilution & just put on double the

amount suggested... hmm:think:... I might have just answered my own question :D

Yet, please... anybody that sees

this - keep posting replys :)
It helps a lot ;)

Start with a very weak

ratio such as 8:1 cologne to mone. Why you ask? Two reasons: 1) You can always add to the mix if it's not working

and it's easier to add the small amounts of mones IMO than adding cologne. 2) More importantly to me is I want to

be able to reapply later. So before I go out I do it the old fashioned way and then I take the mixed cologne to use

as a refresher later in the night when both start to lose their effect. This way I avoid ODing by using such a weak

mix.
Best of luck to ya!

Don't ADD cologne to a "lite"

mix, they are already pretty dilute.

Your best bet would be to make a more concentrated mix and add cologne...or

even better just apply fragrance over the top as scents tend to get a little messed up when mixed with pheromones

for a while.

Your welcome. I may not

always have the best advice but that approach has worked for me.

for now I've only mixed

on my body... not in atomizers nor bottles (I'll report what's there to report as soon as I have enough time to

sit down & write it :)).
Anyhow, I add cologne on the `mones as the last cover, but when I'll want to mix in

atomizers, I think I will add the cologne in the mix... the idea is to have it as portable as possible - so taking a

bottle of cologne with me at all times seems like a strange idea.

Cool, just make sure

the mix you add your cologne to isn't too weak to begin with.
