View Full Version : Axe Users + cologne experts-pls respond
Hey guys,
Quick question.
Axe body spray/deodorant. What cologne does it smell closest to?
I just bought a
bottle of AXE last night ( we call it Lynx here in Australia )..and I love the smell so much. I got the green
colored one, and I swear it smells like a cologne I have smelled before, but I can't think of it right now. Can any
of you tell me?
Thanks in advance.
NFS
ps: my god, the adverts were right. my gf just jumped on me after
i came out of the shower with AXE on. It smelled so good I would have jumped on myself if she wasn't there :)

If you have the name of the
individual Lynx, I might be able to identify the fragrance.
The name is Lynx ( or Axe for the
U.S. ),
" PULSE ".
See what u can dig up for me :)
Thanks

Sorry buddy, I'm not familar with the AXE Pulse. The AXE name for that may be different.
So
if you can "dig" up the correlative AXE name for the product, I may be able to help.
I'm surprised you
didn't ask this question on the other forum you like to hang out in.
hahahah Tounge, which forums that?
:)

The more "Enlightened" forum. You know, where they supposedly "think out of
the box". LOL!
Hehhe Funny Tounge, I know not what
forum you speak of. I think you must have confused me with someone else called " NFS " :)
I'm the only one
that's " enlightened " .

Yes, let's get back to the AXE
shall we. Were you able to "dig" up which AXE fragrance the Lynx Pulse correlates to?
Hmm no Tounge. Seems that in the US,
there is only CLIX fragrance ? That's strange.
Coz here in Australia, LYNX (AXE ) has like 6 fragrances. I
bought some Lynx CLIX ( blue /black bottle ) last night and sprayed it all over my body after the gym.
10 mins
later, I felt nauseous and I almost threw up. It's some strong shit in there.
Even with Pluse..it's strong
shit. Whenever I spray that stuff, I can smell it on me for at least 7 hrs... That's stronger than some colognes
that i Have.

I'd like to know what is lasting 7 hours. I use Axe and Tag.
I dig both the fragrances and the prices, but neither seems to last more than a couple of hours.

For me axe normally lasts
close to 24 hrs, I've tried pretty much all of them with the same effect and I also sweat a great deal.

Maybe it's just my nose, then.
If using pheromones has taught me anything new, it's that my not being able to smell something does not mean
others can't.

Axe, or Lynx (yes thats what its
called in Australia) is discusting, just my opinion and too my nose, this stuff is al cheapo aerosole deodarant that
they sell in supermarkets that is popular amonst teenagers due to the tv commercials and marketing, smells more like
insect reppellent to me, in fact I know of a friend that has used it as mosquito reppellent, it works
too.
This in no way resembles a perfume or cologne.

I agree that some of the
axe body sprays stink like bug repellant as do most mens cologne, but something like axe kilo or axe phoenix is much
more light. Plus alot of the guys tend to spray massive amounts all over themselves as they think it is an
alternative to showering . I prefer the axe deodorant sticks myself, few swipes under the arms, once small dab
on each shoulder and one on the chest works fine for me and its not over powering.
Reading the forums here alot
of guys here use cologne anyways so if you smell really bad why not get a non scented anti bacterial deodorant then
slather on the mones and cologne instead of having 10 different scents on you. Just to make this clear this comment
isn't directed at anyone :)

Lots of girls like the smell on me when I
put it on. And they do come and sniff me asking what it is I'm using.
LYXN ( AXE ) do use alot of the same
ingredients that most designer colognes use, I know coz I can smell those ingredients. That's why I started this
thread in the first place.
But you're right Bronzie, smell is personal preference.

thats highly unlikely, designer colognes use quality ingredients, a 120 dollar perfume
does not compare to a 5 dollar bottle of lynx
but i see your point, these things are cheap, use them, dont
like it, throw it away, but when your spending 100+ bucks, u need to know what your buying unless u like wasting
money
