Being happy doesn't mean

everything is perfect,
It means you have decided to look beyond the imperfections.

Happiness, like anger, sorrow,

amused etc. are a matter of choice. You hear "She made me mad" "He hurt my feelings" and so on. That's only true

when you allow people to have that type of power over you. You make the choice to allow them that power. Instead you

can choose to be whatever mood you want, all you have to do is stop blaming others and start taking responsibility

for yourself. We are whatever we choose to be as we create our own reality.

I came across something on this same

topic....

Happiness cannot come from without. It must come from within. It is not what we see and touch

or that which others do for us which makes us happy; it is that which we think and feel and do, first for the other

fellow and then for ourselves.

i was listening to NPR

(national public radio) station awhile back and they talked about happiness. it was very enlightening. and they had

this guy on there thats like a psycologiest and he wrote a book call "stumbling upon happiness" (sp?) so right after

i heard it i went to barns and noble and started reading that book and it was pretty intresting. hmmm now that i

think about it i need to get that book. i have forgotten about it.
