On a couple of

episodes of HBO's Deadwood, one of the main characters says, "You smell like cat piss!" when he thinks someone is

lying. Now, I'm not about to quote a TV western as a solid scientific source, but I still found it amusing, and

would be interested in knowing the different mental states that cause secretion of different pheromones and other

chemicals.

A lot of women I know lie every

minute or so and they don't smell anything like kitty wee. If lying made you smell of feline drizzle law offices,

car dealerships, etc., would be freakin' outhouses.

Adrenaline has been used in

studies to induce an androstenone release... does anyone know if lying is accompanied with an adrenaline spike?

i think if you were

telling a big enough lie in a certain situation you could get an adrenaline spike. say for instance lie-ing to the

cops

Adrenaline

has been used in studies to induce an androstenone release... does anyone know if lying is accompanied with an

adrenaline spike?I think it typically is. It's an interesting hypothesis, the truth-none connection.
