Rite,
i've put some None and Nol to dissolve in 90% Ethanol. I've put each one
seperately, not together. Its been around 12 days but i can still see a fair amount the mones floating around in the
alcohol when i shake the bottle.
I shake the bottles couple of times a day just incase that helps, but i've
never had a single bottle of Mones dissolve completely yet, i always see the mones floating around in the alcohol.
Is there any way i can get them to dissolve? I've put the None and Nol in two 6ml bottles and filled them up with
90% Ethanol solution.
Could anybody please help me, i've probably wasted about 6 bottles of mones because they
wont dissolve. Is there any way i can get them to dissolve?
Thanks, any help is appreciated,
Wiltered

I use a 96% Ethanol solution,
they dissolve just fine.

Drago,
how many days
does it take for your mones to completely dissolve into the Ethanol? does it dissolve completely also so that you
cant see any bits floating around when you shake it?
Does anybody have any tips to get it to dissolve faster or
know why its taking this long?
Thanks! :)

If you can't get mones to
dissolve in high grade ethanol there's something wrong. Using 190 proof grain alcohol, I've gotten them to
dissolve in concentrations way higher than any of the products sold here, to the point where they were so strong as
to be useless.

I have certificates of
Analysis with my pheromones when i ordered them from the Chemical company.
Just wondering how long they should
normally take to completely disappear into the Ethanol.
I read somewhere that heat can help dissolve them? Is
this right, if so how exactly could i apply some heat to the mones inside the glass bottles?
Thanks.

What are your concentrations
WilteredFire?
Yes heat would work, a simple way to do that would be to put your bottle on a radiator or some
other kind of heater. However, you might just find that crystals precipitate out of the solution when it cools.

WF,
An important question here is - How much dry weight are you trying to dissolve in
these 6mL bottles? There's a saturation point beyond which no more crystal will go into solution.
As for
heating the solution, bear in mind that Ethanol at that concentration is extremely volatile. The most drastic
heating I would recommend is to place the bottles in a shallow pan of warm water. If the problem is that you've
reached the saturation point, any crystal that dissolves with heating will precipitate back out when cooled, and
possibly crystallize on the bottle where it may not even be detectable.

Andro powder dissolves in high
concentration Ethanol in few seconds.
When I first tried I used 70% Ethanol, the kind of stuff you buy in your
local pharmacy, and then you are left with the bits floating. If you use 96% E or higher you have no problem of that
kind.
