Could any

of you guys tell me if "rone rage" is someting that only happens to people who take steroids? Or can it happen to a

guy who has a whole lot of testosterone naturally?

who has a whole lot of testosterone naturally?Rone, road, roid rage? Oh, I get it ...

testosterone. :frustrate

I'd vote both, to a certain degree. Roid ... you'd notice the change

in attitude. Naturally, if you've known them for a while ... you'd know, but if you just met him, it would be hard

to tell without finding roid containers, needles, etc. etc.

Anyone? Anyone?

You didn't snap and

P.S. Something I've noticed in the last 5 years ... if people

(your kids, friends, neighbors) that you suspect using steroids, or could be using, by some chance get real

sick and doctors can't find out WHAT it is, or WHY ... BINGO! I always keep a close watch on users/suspected users.

It's what helped me decide against it looooong ago. :box:

What other drugs could

explain "inexplicable moodswings"? Cocaine?

Well studies done on other

animals lower on the evolutionary chain such as rats show that both male and female rats have the ability to exhibit

typical male and typical female behavior. However it is largely dependant on hormones.

Female rats given

large doses of testosterone exhibited alot more male behavior, mounting males with low testosterone, fighting etc.

Male rats who had their nuts surgically removed and produced no testosterone exhibited typical female behavior

such as submitting (and crying to oprah :D ).

Fighting is believed to be a way for males to establish a

hierarchy. Thus aggresiveness is a typical male behavior. Thats why actionmovies are #1 among male viewers.

Without a doubt will androgens affect a male humans brain in displaying behavior and attitude and traits

that distinguish him as a male. Fighting or more correctly put aggresiveness is not excluded.

Roid rage is a myth...

completely, some `roids might make you feel "godly" or "I'm the man" but except for one (which is very hard to

obtain anyways), none have been shown to directly increase aggression. They will make someone feel more "alpha" and

could therefore lead to more aggressive behavior, but there is nothing in them that directly causes increased

aggression.

I call BS on that, introduce

high levels of highly androgenic compounds and you'll see an increase in dominant behavior. It may not be a direct

effect, rather the direct effect is it increases the risk the person will respond aggresively to stimulus in their

enviroment since they are being more dominant

Browse any steroidforum and check for firsthand experiences on

high levels of trenbolone for instance(which is 5times as androgenic as testosterone). All users that i've read

have reported increased feelings of anger when they are irritated, however they chose to start fighting or not is a

matter of selfcontrol.

Without doubt does steroids dictate how manly you feel and act, one of those traits

include dominance and violence being the ruling factor of who dominates who on a very primitive level.

And here is a study to validate

my claims, any hormone that has an androgenic effect WILL increase the aggresive behavior a person

exhibits.

I am quoting that study and

underlining a very important word.

"The present results, combined with previously reported findings of physical

performance enhancement after anabolic-androgenic steroid treatment, are consistent with the interpretation that

elevated levels of adrenergic and serotonergic amines in the hypothalamus could contribute to aggressive

behaviors as well as improved physical performance."

And according to

dictionary.com (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=could)
could: Used with hypothetical or

conditional force: If we could help, we would. This does not mean that the steroids (no matter how androgenic) will

definitely cause an increase in aggression. Please stop propigating this myth. Even the study you quoted does not

claim anything of the sort. And your claim of browsing any steroid forum to find trenbolone horror stories, I for

one believe that a lot of those people are very aggressive to begin with, while people who aren't very aggresive to

begin with will not show those signs of aggression, even with large doses of tren.

Most people who take any sort

of prohormones or steroids are pretty sure that they do improve physical performance. They also are relatively sure

that these items do in fact increase their overall agression levels.
I doubt that you can actually claim that only

angry people take them and than put all the blame for their outbursts onto the

products...

Seduceme is pretty much spot on. I myself know three friends that otherwise quiet and restrained,

started acting a little wild when on a prohormone or steroid cycle. Biology dictates psychology. Simple.

"Aggresive and dominant

behavior are distinguished. Testosterone influences both of these, even if man is usually inclined to affirm his

power without causing physical damage."

As with any effect of testosterone or other androgenics they are

dose-dependant. More androgenic = more likely to exhibit aggression. However what I think youre saying is its not

all about brainchemistry, and I agree, someone better equipped to handle their emotions(including rage) will most

likely NOT exhibit aggresive behavior even though he is under the influence of supraphysiological androgenics.

However he WILL feel more dominant and angry when he gets upset over something.(as the actual serotonin-levels are

altered)

Being part of "that" community,

I would be inclined to think that MB knows what he's talking about.

LoL, Yes, I'm a part of that

community. I also have some first-hand experience. I know I sounded a bit harsh and even "uneducated" somewhat,

but I don't like having people propigate myths and generalizations about substances. Also, while we are similar to

the animals they do these trials on, we are not identical, and who is to say there is any major relation between how

rats are effected psychologically and humans? From what I know, and the people I have talked to and been around,

most people who get violent and aggressive while "on" steroids are just using the steroids as an excuse to not

control themselves.

True, it would be unethical to

study the alteration of brainchemicals in humans for that purpose. But in most other vertebrates other than rats who

have been given testosterone including close relatives to us such as chimps(what is it 98% of our DNA?) have all

showed increased aggresiveness and dominance.

From an biological anthropologic standpoint it makes sense,

since testosterone is the masculining hormone in most vertebrates including ourselves. And most male vertebrates are

territorial , dominant and seek to dominate through violence(men roughly represent 80% of violent crimes in our

society, 20% women), aggression or threat thereof.

I wouldnt be so quick to call it a myth if its been

proven scientifically on other vertebrates along with a shitload of anecdotal data.

If you still hold a

tight grip on your stance on this then lets apply the same logic to other effects of testosterone. Do all users

experience severe acne? So when you or your buddies dont experience it, and those who do, do so because "oh theyre

dirty people anyway thats just an excuse" does that make acne a myth and those experiencing it are just dirty people

hiding behind their testosterone-use?
