I\'m new to this forum, and have only tried pheros for a short while, using it a couple of times in clubs, but with some interesting results. Not sure what is in the product I use, but it\'s supposedly none and nol. The bottle looks exactly like Date-Mate, although with a different tag.

While I like to experiment with the stuff I don\'t like the smell. I also feel it affects me so that I have a difficult time falling asleep, and think less clearly. Now I know most of you seem to think it wears of in a matter of hours, and certainly a day, but the first time i used them I could swear that the stink was still on my wrists even three days later. This was despite some serious scrubbing with soap and dishwashing liquid. I also had to change pillows to sleep better as the stuff seemed to be smeared all over the one I used first.

But here\'s my question: HOW DO YOU GET THE STUFF OFF? The current product is alcohol based so I can put it on my clothes instead and quickly get rid of it, but I\'ve now ordered AE and from your postings i gather that putting oil based products on your clothes is not a good idea. So what do I do to get it off me quickly when I\'m done playing around?

Hi,
The product you have is Contact 18. From what I can gather, Datemate is just a copy of the original product Contact 18. Sounds like the original contains a lot more pheros than the bootleg versions.
In any case, I can also smell androstenone on my wrists several days after application. I have never scrubbed at it as I like having there, but I do shower daily and the pheromones survive. You can apply AE to your clothes to avoid that if you want, but it sounds like you are especially sensitive to it. I would reduce the amount and see what happens. I think you will get used to it. I also don\'t like having a strong androstenone smell around when I am sleeping, but I find it makes my thinking clearer during the day.
Cheers,
Bruce
