View Full Version : Mixing my scents

I was wondering if

anyone could assist me with mixing the scents I have available to me at the moment. I possess the following

essential oils:

Pine (really fresh, I like it)
Lemon (way too much lemon smell, very strong)
Sandalwood (nice,

but a little sweet)
CK clone (sweet, almost nauseatingly sickly sweet)

I also have these 'mones:

Chikara

(I find it quite sweet)
TE Unscented
SPMO (Smells like a badgers ba' bag, but I like)
SOE gelpacks (I love the

smell of this one)

In addition, I have three cologne scents, none of them "brand" names but they don't smell so

bad, they are:

Lynx Africa
Another like Africa only lighter and sweeter
Kouros clone (smells like yer

Granpa!)

My nose isn't too good, so I was looking for some help with a good mix scentwise. Any ideas? I was

hoping to use the essential oils because I haven't developed an idea to use them yet. I'm quite inexperienced in

this regard. Thanks.

For me, applying a bit of

sandal underneeth whatever else you are wearing (over the top of pheros though) smells great. TE plus Sandalwood is

always a winner.

You could try messing around with a mix of Pine and Sandalwood as well, make sure it's mostly

sandal though.

Thanks Cap. I'll give that a try.

Is there an easy way to categorise these things? For example, you could say Pine = wood/al fresco

vibe...and lemon = citrus/fruity category...etc,etc. It would be handy to be able to put these scents in order, and

then to have a few simple rules about which ones work well together and which ones would clash.

Does this exist

already?

Take a look in the Perfuming

Basics thread in the womens forum, lots of this kind of stuff in there.
