Hi all.
With a
chem set replica of the Perception formula, I intend to test the advantages of Perception with and without the
prolonged release polymer system.
My perception hasn't arrived yet, so I'll be testing the formula without
polymer first.
I'll post all here, including approximate duration of effectiveness information.

Awesome idea, Cpt. Will you be
using a fragrence in your tests?
Looking forward to your results

Good point, I guess I will have to use my own cologne in
both cases to avoid bias.

Ok, I've got my Chem Set
Perception clone ready ( 2 parts -nol, 1 part -none and -rone, and 6 parts dilutant), and I'll be testing it alone
tonight. I not sure what to expect, but it smells "good".
I'm using old amouage sample atomisers which give
between 19 and 20 sprays per ml (so about 0.05 ml per spray). I'll use 3 sprays initially, giving:
Androstenone 0.0150
mg
Androstenol 0.0300
mg
Androsterone 0.0150 mg
and I might add another spray at some point.
To cover I'll use a couple of sprays of Hugo Boss, although it
doesn't smell too bad without cover.
p.s. all calculations were done with the Experimentation Spreadsheet
(pheromoning made easy (tm)). ;)

now ..... do you have results yet. I just got my perception also.

Nothing really to set the two
apart yet.
Day 1 - the clone:
The New Years party wasn't a huge gathering in the end, but I saw a few of
my mates who had been at uni so it was good all told. I found it tricky to pick out any reactions from girls though,
limited as their numbers were.
Day 2 - Perception:
Went to visit relatives on New Years day and went
into town to do some shopping. Again, I wasn't being "active" so I didn't notice many reactions. There was one
possible hit that was pretty big if it wasn't in my imagination. I had just come to find my sister who was in a
shoe shop, but I decided to hover around outside 'cos I can't stand waiting while girls shop ("JUST PICK ONE!"). I
was on my mobile and I notice a group of girls hovering around me and the shop, probably waiting for one of their
friends. Because I was near the door they walked past me a few times. When my sister was finished I went in to get
her, and on my way out one of the girls walked very close past me and I felt something touch my bum...hmmm definate
hit you might say. But I don't know if it was intentional, but she kind of made positive eye contact before she
walked past.
Day 3 - Perception:
Went out with friends who are about to go back to uni for a few drinks - it
ended up being me with another guy and two girls (all old friends remember). I have had some subtle hits from one of
the girls in the past, and at the end of the night she was a little odd insisting on getting my picture, but she
didn't get anyone elses (at least when I was there).
So, those are fairly sparse days, but I'm not blaming
either phero brew. As a side note on Perception, the way the extended release affects fragrances you wear is
fantastic. I wore Hugo Boss with a little sandal EO on all occasions, and besides from getting positive reactions on
day 1 and 3, I was particularly pleased with my scent when using Perception. It somehow brought out a very pleasant
combination of notes, and made them last a long time.

Just remember this
fragrance lovers. BDC Concepts can give us a cologne extender if we push for it.
If you don't want it,
Mobley and his cronies are coming fer ya! :smite:

Definite hit in my
opinion. I don't think it was accidental at all. Alot of "just happen to be" in here.

You're probably right, I just
want to remain objective ;)

ive already done this ie the chem
set clone versus perception testing and similar sort = it gives a lot of consistant hits but at the same time the
big ones are still few and far between. But the long realise thing and being not having to reapply all day helps

I would try a blind test
by putting some perception and some clone in two identical bottles. Then have someone label them A and B and only
they know which is which. Then you can blindly test the difference. But, if your clone is not water based, you
will know which one is which as soon as you put it on. :(

Good idea,
however this kind of things is very difficult to test. It's really hard to use the scientific method with
pheromones for the purposes of getting hits. I realize that you are trying to test the difference and properties of
Perception vs a normal pheromone mixture.
I would suggest trying to take the following, and apply it to
something you do often:
When I was testing Perception and other mixtures before we released, I would hit up the
same night club, every week on a Thursday night. I attempted to minimize all variables. I would dress comparable,
drink around the same, stand in the same areas, have similar attitudes, levels of approachability etc. I'm sure
you get the point. No, this is not valid for a true experiment but it does have much more control than randomizing
everything. Believe it or not, after a couple months of testing things out, I did in fact learn quite a bit. :D
