I don't think older women are

more attracted to Androstenone than younger women. It's just that stronger amounts of Androstenone seem to be less

intimidating to older women than to younger women. Older women can hold their ground better, as it were, in the

face of an advance from a sexually interested (or sexually interesting) man. The advance doesn't have to be an

overt move. His presence, if it excites her, may be enough to trigger her aggressive or defensive behavior.

The

more experienced a woman is, the more likely she is to be aggressive. The less experienced she is, the more likely

she is to be defensive.
