View Full Version : Perception Perceptions in San Diego

Ok, I've been using Perception since it's first release, but mainly at work and during my weekend

errands. I hadn't had an opportunity to try it in social settings until last week, when I once again vacationed in

Southern California.

Aside from shopping and a couple of touristy things I did, the settings

were:

Four occasions with a LJBF girl that I hang with there. Aside from a fun dinner date once or twice

while I'm there, she's also a masseuse, and since I'm a friend, I get a discount on her time, which I take

advantage of.

Universal Studios Hollywood theme park. I took a charter bus to Universal City for the day on

Wednesday.

Three movies.

Since I've been using Perception for awhile now, I'm afraid that I

wasn't as observant as I could have been since the novelty of the product has worn off.

Called my friend as

soon as I arrived at the motel and set up an appointment for an evening massage. I applied a spray of the pheromones

on my chest and one on the top of my head, plus two sprays of scent on my chest. I did a spray on the top of the

head as I was concerned about the water solubility and time-release properties of Perception being incompatible with

the massage oil.

Nothing much to report here. I met this woman 20 years ago and we started becoming friends

about 10 years ago. I don't expect anything too sexual from her from things said in the past. She's the type that

you just want to hang out with though, hoping some of that charm will rub off on you.

She didn't seem much

different than last time I saw here, when I was first trying out Chikara.

I had planned to hit a dive bar on

Saturday night and see Dave Alvin of the Blasters. I knew she didn't like that kind of music and didn't invite

her. I wasn't too sure about the show myself. I like the Blasters, but the Dave Alvin CD I have is a bit too

"country-ish" than I like. I thought though, that it would be an interesting setting to try Perception. Turned out

that since I was playing tourist on Wednesday, she made plans to go to the mountains on Thursday morning. So I

dropped my plans to go to the nightclub and we had dinner at a fine restaurant instead.

Two sprays Perception

pheromones on the chest, four sprays of Ralph Lauren Silver Romance in the air and walked through with shirt on. At

first, she wasn't much different than the last time I visited and was trying Chikara. After a bit of wine, she

starts asking me about my age when I first had sex. She then steers it around to me shaving my beard and signing up

at match.com! She's hinted at the beard the last couple of times I saw her, but this more of a "you should" than

"did you ever think about..." The match.com thing threw me as that came out of nowhere.

We were seated

outside and some guy was talking to my date from the other side of the wall when I returned from a trip to the

bathroom. He quickly and respectfully left upon my return. The waitress treated us well but we always seem to get

treated well. Besides our making an attractive couple, the fact that the menu's usually pretty expensive is

probably a factor too. Even before mones, we have been treated well and I think mainly because of the caliber of the

restaurant and an aura about my friend. After we left the restaurant, we walked along the nightclubs on the street

and came across one with a long line. My friend had my sportcoat over her shoulders when she stopped to ask someone

what was so special about the club. As a guy was explaining, a girl interrupted and started complimenting my friend

on her appearance, telling her that she was like a movie star. Like I said, there's an aura about this girl, but

even she was taken aback with the girls enthusiasim behind her compliment. I thought that if any Perception release

onto the jacket was responsable for that, and this woman discovered pheromones, she could be dangerous and all

powerful! :D

Since my friend was leaving town on Thursday, I wasn't going to get my regular end of vacation

massage, so I made arrangements for her to come by on Tuesday night. One spray of Perception pheromone on the chest,

two sprays of Very Sexy for Him 2 on the neck. Then I remembered A1 for the first time and spread two drops around

my body. I had just received it in the mail but not done much with it. My friend was kind of "pushy big sister." She

started in again on the beard and match.com. She even tried to get me to shave right then and there! But she was

really stressing the importance of things.

Universal Studios. Took a charter bus from San Diego, which

picked me up in front of my hotel. Two sprays of pheromones, two of the Perception scent. No single women on the

bus. I was too much into my own thing, trying to see as much of the park before my bus left at 6PM, so I wasn't as

observant as I could have been. I also went on the Jurassic Park ride twice after I first arrived, and there's no

way to avoid getting wet on it, so it may have corrupted the application. Anyway, nothing special to

report.

The most interesting observations were the "theater tests." I saw three different movies while there.

The first was "A Dirty Shame." This was playing at a theatre nearby, but to get to It, I'd have to drive in heavy

traffic or walk up a canyon. I applied two sprays each of pheromones and scent and walked. It took 15 minutes to get

to the top and the theater was only another five minutes. Unfortunately, I had never been there and missed it

completely, Only finally asking for directions after I had passed it by a half mile. So I had a good sweat going

once I arrived. Even with the scenic route, I was the first one in the theater and took my seat. As it filled up, I

noticed that the men sat of to the sides and the women were setting towards me. I was surrounded by about 3/4 of a

full circle by about nine women.

Tuesday, I went to see "Sean of the Dead." Unlike the weird John Waters

movie, this one didn't have many women in the audience. Guy after guy came in and I started to get disappointed

until the lone woman in the audience, leading her date, picked the seat directly in front of me. I had put on two

sprays of each atomizer earlier, then a spray of Very Sexy for Him 2 in my forearm at a Victoria"s Secret next to

the theatre. After the cologne and before the movie, I walked about a mile, to another shopping center and back,

which again worked up a sweat.

Friday, I again went to a movie to kill time until rush hour was over so I

could leave for home. I chose, "Shall We Dance." It was either that or the sick puppet one. I figured there'd be

more of a target group on the romantical one than the stupid one. The audience was mainly older people. I had

applied a spray of the pheromone along with Very Sexy 2 and a drop of A1 earlier in the day. I had also hiked

through a canyon before the movie. As the theatre filled up, an unescorted woman took a seat tow down on my right

and two other women took seats two down to my left. A couple came in looking for two adjacent seats and the woman on

the right eagerly moved over to sit next to me. I figured this was a good sign as if I was offensive, she'd have

moved the other way. The movie soon started and as I was leaving immediately afterward, I didn't engage in

conversation.

Thursday was a spontaneous day, I had nothing planned. After spending a lot on gourmet meals

and clothes and all the walking I did, I didn't feel like doing much at all. I applied One spray of Perception

pheromone, one spray of Very Sexy 2 and one drop of A1. I then called my friend, who was suppose to be on her way to

the mountains, to leave a message that I had returned safely from my bus ride. To my surprise, she answered and was

still in town, having work finished up on her house. She invited me to lunch, but said she would be working. I

arrived before 1:00 and we hung around a bit, then went to lunch. She took a call from someone looking for a massage

and set up an appointment for 6:30. About a half hour later, she called back to cancel it, and blew off work that

day to hang out with me, she finally leaving for the mountains and me back to my motel around 7:30 that

evening.

Besides her blowing off jobs, she again started the makeover lecture, shave beard, match.com, but

now also get contacts and lose weight. The weight one's a given, but she starts to tell me that I'm very good

looking and am hiding something behind the beard and glasses.

All in all, Perception is right at the top of

the list of my list for every day wear. I use it or Chickara four or five days a week, probably being a bit more

partial to Chikara. The atomizer leaked again. I had carried them in the original box on their side in my kit bag.

The box was damp when I arrived at my motel and I had lost about half of the scent. I'm afraid to look at what's

left after the return trip. I remember someone speculation on altitude causing the atomizers to leak. I did have to

go over a mountain range to get to my destination.

I should have left the A1 at home until I had time to try

it alone. As it was, the makeover suggestions, though valid, kind of surprised me.

Great post, I can't wait for my

Perception to arrive :)

Thanks for the

reply, Yoel.

For everyone or anyone:

I'm still working out my friend's behavior from last week. Like

I said before, I've known her for a long time but it's mainly a "just friends" relationship. At times, she does

seem to go into more of a "girlfriend" mode than others.

What throws me is the makeover and match.com

suggestions. Not so much the sugestions in themselves, as said above she has hinted that I should shave before and

mentioned that I should find a local girl but never with the passion that she had behind it last week, nor ever

mentioned my glasses. She seems to feel so strongly about the beard that she wanted me to shave it right then and

there. Later, she said that she would do it with a straight razor as she used to be a beautician. In contrast, there

has never been anything said about my massive body hair, especially the back hair. I guess because it is hidden by

clothes most of the time.

None of this was brought on by myself. I was just hanging out enjoying myself, not

playing "lonely guy" or anything when she started in that we weren't getting any younger and we have to do our best

to remain attractive. Her telling me that I was "very good looking" threw me too as she had never really emphasized

that as much.

Anyway, this is all stream of thought stuff I'm typing leading to my question. Could A1 have

been a contributing factor in this? On the two occasions I wore the Perception alone, she seemed about the same as

when I wore Chikara, kind of in girlfriend mode. But the two times she was pleading me to do a makeover, I had also

applied A1. It's been awhile since I read the logs on A1, so I was hoping someone familar with the product could

help shed some light.

Incidentally, I am considering shaving my beard now, I agree it does make me look much

older. Still a scary thought though, so it probably won't be real soon. Replacing glasses with contacts is another

story. I have problems with my eyes watering a lot and also problems with touching them, so I don't think contacts

are for me. I just recently went to progressive lenses too, and think that contacts would be a problem there. And I

like the look of glasses myself. I think right now, the most important part of the three part makeover is weight

loss. Which I had already decided before my vacation to work on after my return.

As for the match.com thing,

I was surfing there yesterday and had forgotten that I had already registered so I could read the profiles that went

with the pictures. Haven't put out an ad myself though. Funny thing there though, at a quick glance, most of the

girls that sound appealing are in Southern California or Phoenix, just reinforcing my idea that I will have to move

away to find a permanent mate. I did recognize a local woman whom I know in one of the ads though. So I can tell my

friend that I have already met someone from Match.com (just not through them). :D

Don't know, Signor Playboy.

Sounds like she's in the "what if he" mode, to me ... sizing you up for a future mate. How do YOU feel about your

beard? How do you feel about her? And yes, I would NOT shave it right now ... WUSSSSSS if you do. Hold out as

long as possible, if you're considering HER, but don't let her telling you what to do become a habit. Two cents of

Mobley's, typed.:run:

Thanks Mobley,

that's kind of what I was thinking too, both the sizing up and the wuss thing. Big time wuss if I would have let

her shave it right then and there. But I don't think I've ever seen her that insistent and pleading before. I

think I'll tease her with the prospect but any shaving probably won't happen until at least spring.

Here is what I think: she wants to

see her good friend with someone, especially because she sees that he could make some woman happy. And, she is

offering her female opinion on how the book's cover could be more attractive.

InternationalPlayboy

Right bjf, I don't

see it as a control thing at all. I've known her too long for that. It's pretty much as you explained it. As

Mobley said, she's sizing me up, but not necessarily for herself. The match.com suggestion shows that. Because

she's sincere and I respect her opinion are the main reason I've even considering losing the beard.

Yea, I've had women after a few dates start gently

but ever so firmly applying pressure to change: shave the beard, get circumcised, go to church, etc. I run for the

door as fast as I can...

Ouch! I had no

choice in that matter myself but to think of having that done as an adult hurts! I would run too with that

suggestion.

Remember I've known this woman for 20 years and we've been friends for 10 years. All that time

I've had a beard so it's not like it's been just a few dates. Part of her explanation was that neither of us were

getting younger (we're both 45) and we have to do our best with what we have left.

I came across a picture

of myself last night from about 15 years ago. It's sad how old the beard does make me look now with all the white

as compared to back then. And I don't think Grecian formula will do the trick. I'll look really cool walking

around with a black beard and reddish hair.

 IF you've known this woman for 20 years, and it's the FIRST time she's brought up shaving ... "I" say,

she has you in the "If he shaves his beard, he'd probably be a lot cuter, and I'd do'em/date him." Annnnnnd,

beards do make you look older ... goatee's make you look cooler. Whatever YOU would be happier with ... looking

younger, and probably getting laid, OR being happier with yourself and keep her as a good friend. A good FEMALE

friend is allllllllways nice to have. And no, it's not the kind you keep close to and sleep with as soon

as your mate screws up. Lots of women do that ... as I have seen, so, I keep a close watch on my woman's male

so-called friends. :smite: Anywho ... Mobley's six cents worth ... sorry.

Funny to see this

thread come back up. This was the weekend I designated for the beard shaving. Will be seeing the woman who suggested

it a month from tomorrow and was going to surprise her. Wanted to do it a few weeks early so the skin had a chance

to tan and get used to the shaver. Really hesitant to do it though, I don't adapt to change well (as if you

couldn't tell about my whining about my job in random posts).

Maybe Flash1's resurrection of this thread

is a sign to go for it.

Already thinking I'll probably grow the beard back after the vacation. Will

try to post a picture at the open forum for all to judge if I get the nerve to do it.

Flash1, Perception is a

great product. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I am hesitating to buy this

product as it says in the shop: limited offer for love scent only.

It's almost as I know that this

product'd be working greatly for me, most of them do, but this one seems to have a great compillation of

ingredients and reading the raves it's getting from all those who have tried it. I don't want to get "addicted to

a magic potion" that won't be available after a while....

In fact I am leaning towards maybe buying it

anyways, but I'd like to bump my message to the retailers, sellers, customers, producers and inventors that this

should be a permanent offer! ;)

I meant pheros! Thought that you were talking about Pheros. Sorry, my

I looked on the page for Perception and didn't

see anything about a limited offer. Are you sure you aren't thinking of Pheros? Pheros is indeed a limited

entity. Once it's gone, that's it. And the Doc will never have that recipe again. (Why am I thinking of cakes in

the rain? :) )

Perception, exclusive to Love Scent at this time, was developed by BDC Concepts. Right now,

the "Gold Release" is available on this site. The gold release is a trial or "beta" release, so the manufacturers

can determine what changes, if any are needed to be made in the product before they make the final product, which

will be called the "Platinum Release." If I recall, they plan to offer it in retail stores as well as on the

Internet, that's why they were concerned about the box design.

I don't know if there are any plans to

change the pheromone ratio in the product. The only problem reported with the gold release is that the atomizers

often leak, especially in shipment. They plan to use better atomizers in the final product. Aside from that, it's a

fine product and I feel their cutting edge technology will be the wave of the future. I'm on my second purchase of

Perception and would have no hesitation to buy another batch from the gold release if I run out before the platinum

comes out.
