I'm 19, a girl who is 16

seems to be showing the "signs" of attraction towards me. I've only known her for a few weeks now, and I think

she's really cute, but I'm not sure whether I should try to pick her up, or just try to be like an older brother

that has fun with her.

The last time a younger girl liked me, I ended up breaking her heart. I'd hate to do

this to this girl, but don't really know what I should do. Advice? TIA

I've been wearing mostly Chikara around

her.

Edit: I think I may have posted in the wrong forum section..

Different states have different laws.

click here for a listing of the World Wide Age of

Consent (http://www.avert.org/aofconsent.htm).

Hmmm, it seems that the world's average age of consent is 16. Interesting too, that

some states have a lower age for males than females.

A couple of years ago the age of

concent in Hawaii was 14. It's now 16. The new law hasn't reduced teenage pregnancies at all. Zippo. Hawaii is

still among the top few states for teenage pregnancies.

She used to hang out a lot with me at my house, but my mom yelled at her and she

doesn't feel welcomed anymore. Aside from that, I still like her, but she's much closer to me than the young girl.

I think I'll try and make her jealous or something.

I don't

think the age of consent has very much to do with teenage pregnancies. I think it's more about the age that

legislators feel a young person is able to make a rational decision about having sex.

rational decision about having sex.
That's a contradiction if I ever heard

one...

I'd like someone to name one person that said the following when deciding to have sex for the

first time:

"Well, I think I'm about at the stage where I would like to have children. I am financially

secure, I have found someone who also would like to have children now, I am prepared in every way to raise a child,

I purchased all of the parenting books, I understand that sex, as annoying and tedious as it might be, is the only

way that I can possibly have this child. I guess, with full knowledge of the consequences of my actions, I will

engage in sexual intercourse for the sole purpose of producing offspring. I just wish they came from birds in the

sky like all of those Looney Tunes cartoons...instead, I must have sex to produce a child."

"Rational

decision"

I was thinking the same thing when I typed the post out. :)

Back to the

original question, I think there is a difference of maturity between a 16 year old female and a 19 year old male. If

I was a father of a 16 year old girl, I would remember how I was as a teen and not want some 19 year old horndog

sniffing around my daughter.

It's none of my business Snoopy, but I got hooked into your story with the

original girl a few weeks ago. I'm curious why your mom yelled at her. Other than the fact that she sounded like a

tease.

I don't

think the age of consent has very much to do with teenage pregnancies.

I bet it has to do with sex

education and the availability of condoms. What's the teen pregnancy rate in Denmark?

PS Just do the

right thing , Snoopy.

Are you genuinely interested

in this girl or just want to "hit it and quit it" with her? If it's the latter, I don't think it's worth the

risk to you or her...if it's the first...well, love conquers all...

1. Be honest with yourself. You sound like

you already know the answer.

"I don't want to break her heart."

Hmmm...

2. You're asking other people

whether you should go out with someone. Think about the questions you have to ask when deciding this and who is the

only person who can answer them:

Do you like this girl? Does she like you? Do you want to go out with her? Is

this something you could see having promise or are you just looking for a good time? Is it worth the possible flak

you'll get from her 'rents? Can you handle all of this?

I know the person who can answer those questions, and

it surely isn't me...

but if you want advice...

If you have to ask...the answer is no. ;)

I don't think I have time to do

much anyway, school starts in 4 days. The 16 year old is too young for me, and the other goes to a different school,

so we won't see each other for another month+. Bad timing I guess.

My advice if she is up for it use

protection and bonk her silly you are only young once - but remember wear the condom or a whining child wuold be on

the way - remember young girls are at their most fertile at 16 onwards.
