View Full Version : New database for the FORUM CLUB files

Everyone,
I´m gonna attempt to put a new list of links together we can all refer to over the forum club (if Bruce agrees). Every now and then someone posts a link to a useful site.

For example, websites that sell atomizers, e-oils, vials (someone posted a link regarding atomizers and vials and I can´t find it anymore), even further back there was a great link to a place that sells really cool perfume etc.
-Those type of links.

Just so we can always find them when we need them again.

So if anyone comes across links whist doing a search, or has them written down somewhere please post them for the rest of us!

WOW TCO that´s the one for fragrances I´ve been looking for! Thanks! I just couldn´t remember the name of the site or find it through the search !
Great! let´s have some more useful links that we can all use in terms of pheromones!

PS maybe peoples could find some great scents to cover up the phero smell, maybe even instead of addition of APC. Those fragrances are oil based. And because they´re oil, they could be great for vapourizers especially if you add some pheros...

CJ, I\'m new to the site but have been tracking the conversations for awhile. I found a site at www.atomizersking.com (\"http://www.atomizersking.com\") that has an amazing variety of pocket atomizers, holding 3-5 ml. They range in price from $11-15 and shipping is about $3. The downside is their service seems very slow. I ordered one on October 12 and just received e-mail yesterday (Oct.29)saying it was sent. I was going to wait and check the quality of the product before posting but with several people looking for these, I figured I\'d go ahead and list this. If you order from them you might call them rather than use the on-line order form. Check it out. P.S. I\'ve been experimenting with the Jambat mix NPA/APC+AFA. No DIHL yet but plenty of talkative happy females.

Hi All,

I tried to order bulk from atomizersking, but they never wrote me back.

CJ,
Write me about your plan to update the forum files. Matt created them, maybe you could work together with him on the project.

Thanks,
Bruce

Yeah CJ and matt -bruce- sounds like a good idea there are some interesting things in that forum club page and its best to be hidden from the general public like has been said a lot of top secret data there, although most of it has been brought up on various postings here on the forum anyway so its all here waiting to be discovered.

CJ,

Here\'s one: http://www.aromaticoils.com/ (\"http://www.aromaticoils.com/\")

They sell fragrance oils, knockoffs of designer fragrances, atomizers in (as I recall) three different sizes, roller bottles (my personal fave!), soaps, etc.

The only downside is that you must place an order of $50 or more (U.S.D.).

Later!

The atomizer I ordered from www.atomizersking.com (\"http://www.atomizersking.com\") arrived about 24 days after ordering it but it was well contructed and sprays a fine mist. It came from Canada to the midwest USA so maybe there was some delay related to border crossing?? Cost was $13+$4 shipping. I ordered online so you might try the phone for faster orders?? You would however have the additional long distance fee.

I\'ve found Burberry cologne to cover and blend well with the NPA. It has a complex musky smell to it with \'bass\' tones. One spray lasts 12 hours! A woman complimented me saying \"Your cologne (Burberry + NPA)smells earthy\"---yoww!

what exactly is a base note? what is this site used for?

oscar
12-04-2001, 06:48 AM
sean,

I believe that in perfumery the base notes are those heavier scents in a fragrance that tend to outlast the other components in terms of their longevity.
A site like this can be helpful for someone who wants to attempt to duplicate, or create variations of an established fragrance using his/her own ingredients. It\'s also useful in that it steers us to the longer lasting scents that have a chance of covering pheros effectively without requiring excessive repeated application. That\'s what I got from the site. Granted, it doesn\'t give you exact proportions of ingredients, but it does provide a starting point.

Walter, CJ, et al.

Great link. Randy did a beautiful job of putting that chart together and then he vanished shortly thereafter. I\'d recommend going a step further than putting the link on the forum club page. Not only should forum members bookmark it, or add it to their \"favorites\", it might be a good idea to print it, so as not to lose the info in the event the site disappears or something.

Some of the data needs updating, ( I think it may have been my endless series of updates that caused Randy to disappear ) but for the most part, it\'s accurate.

Randy, are you still out there?

I don\'t know whether these links are of interest or not. These are suppliers of high-quality essential oils and absolutes. Most of the other sites listed sell synthetic fragrance oils that have been mixed and diluted into carrier oil. Even many sites that claim to sell real essential oils actually have synthetics because they have been duped by their suppliers. These sites actually have their oils tested by gas chromatography to be sure they have the real botanical oils.

Real essential oils are VERY concentrated and must be diluted into a perfume base or carrier oil (like a bottle of pheromones)before use or they can damage your skin. However, they have more complex, richer aromas than synthetic fragrance oils. For example, most \"vanilla\" fragrances are just synthetic vanillin. Smell a vanilla bean next to a grocery store bottle of vanilla and you\'ll understand the difference.

Anatolian Treasures (\"http://av-at.com/\") specializes in Rose otto.

Doesn\'t have to be online, if it\'s a nationwide chainstore that\'s fine too.

Hey CJ, I have a site for the nrrdy. I went digging through the biochem books, used a bit of creative licence, and came up with some pathways for phero synth. I put it on my site here (\"http://ogre.ucdavis.edu/pheromone_synthesis.pdf\"). It is a pdf file, so it should be readable by all.

Hey Sunscreen, Whoops that is ZnO, I mean TiO, the glass vials are easy to get at universities (Dram Vials, 1.5 Drams = ~5 mL.) But, if you do not have that luxury, try going to Organic grocerers/Food Co-op\'s. Frequently they have small containers for whatever reason. Good luck.

Hey CJ i have tried the pheromone product from the cicara website. It changed my whole life and was the first product i ever tried. I have had as many compliments about me smelling sexy wearing it. It got my this one hot older college girl, and changed my whole self image. In my experence i would say its more likely nol or rone because it doesn\'t smell anything like cat piss or bo but the ladies seemed to enjoy it alot. It actually has got me more consistant hits than anything i have used here. I think pheromone products are hard to be exact when applying dosage and maybe thats why i have gotten a couple of huge hits with JB 1. Its just the next day could be a totally different story. Well i got off subject, but anyways i just had to defend it because it changed my life and gave me some unforgetable memorys images/icons/wink.gif

Did we ever resolve whether synthetic \"vanillin\" is better for the blending task or natural vanilla extract? The extract is a much more complex substance in smell and taste. My predisposition would be to try extract.

**DONOTDELETE**
01-24-2002, 01:38 PM
The synthetic will work just fine. It is the molecule responsible for the blending effect. The natural will smell better, but remember that you are not using enough of it to smell it to have the blending occure. So either will work, but the natural is better if you want to add aroma.

TiO, I dunno if that exists. I haven\'t done valence electrons/orbitals since I passed the class. I could look it up. In general, I don\'t deal to much with inorganic chem. But, my favorite inorganic molecule got a lot of press a couple of years ago. Check out this article (\"http://ogre.ucdavis.edu/Y2K.PDF\") for a funny techno-weenie read. The references and notes are actually really funny.

OK, so I got curious... TiO is not possible, since Ti has the III, and IV valence states, not the II required for TiO. The Ti(III) is highly reactive, as shown here (\"http://ogre.ucdavis.edu/TiCl3.pdf\"). But, TiO2 is used for about everything, like you mentioned earlier.

Now, it is so difficult to be a mad scientist with out an Igor around...

Walter Mitty,

Uh oh, I should\'ve known that you\'d actually research that thing out! images/icons/smile.gif
Anyway, thanks for the info. I guess I thought I remember reading about Titanium Oxide in an astronomy related journal. I can\'t remember the book, but I\'m certain that it\'s in conjunction to something astronomical.
I guess it was Titanium Dioxide then, if TiO is impossible.
Wait! I guess I am the ONLY TiO that exist. images/icons/laugh.gif

UPDATE:

Ah! Okay, I found the article, it reads:
\"Titanium oxide bands are prominent in the spectra of M-type stars. The element is the ninth most abundant in the crust of the earth. Titanium is almost always present in igneous rocks and in the sediments derived from them.\"

But in the same paragraph it was mentioned that it was TiO2, not TiO, just like what you said.

Actually in a star it\'d probably be possible as TiO(2+), but plasma does not occure in everyday life all that much... (well, maybe it does, but at any rate.) Hmmm, It\'d also probably be a Titaniumoxidium ion... I can\'t believe that this has wandered so off topic. images/icons/smile.gif

Walter Mitty,

Thanks for the suggestion, I\'ll go to Whole Foods and see if they have anything like that. Or I can go to a college campus store and probably try to find it at their chemistry dept.

Oh, and just a question, is Titanium Oxide technically possible? Application wise, that is. I know Titanium Dioxide is widely used for just about anything, but I\'ve never really heard of TiO being used for anything.
Just curious, with you being the chemist/mad scientist and all. images/icons/laugh.gif

Nate Dogg,

Just wondering, but how does the cicara phero perfume smell like? Is it decidedly male, or is it more like ckB, which is unisex? It sounds like an ideal mixing base for strong phero additives.

You can save yourself some time and some shipping charges by going to the drugstore and looking for an infant medication syringe where the bottles, nipples, and pacifiers are. Followup on a link posted previously: I emailed the people at The Fragrance Shop (\"http://www.thefragranceshop.com\") and they were very helpful. After a bit of conversation, they put together a sample of a custom mix for me. It got stuck in with three other samples I purchased...$3.50 per sample, no additional shipping charges. I\'ll find out if their oils cover as well and as long as they say. If so, it will work well in a strong mix for dabbing tiny amounts (in line with the recent minimalist discussions).
