View Full Version : NPA w/ no cover scent

I have been
wearing NPA with no cover scent often, just a dab off the lid on each wrist. I have noticed many hits wearing it.
I know it has a strong odor, but the odor doesn't bother me. Yet I read on the list many people saying how
horrible it smells. I don't want to smell like I am wearing cologne most of the time, and was wondering people's
thoughts about wearing NPA straight. Would I be better off with a cover scent? Is there anything that I can cover
it with that smells more like "clean" than cologny? Anybody had any good or bad luck with NPA straight?

When you say you have noticed
many hits wearing it, do you mean you have read many hit stories or that you, yourself, have had many hits ... if
it's the latter, then by all means keep wearing it straight ... I cannot comment on NPA, it being one of the few
products I haven't tried ...

I've noticed hits when I wear
it. Subtle things like eye contact and smiles are common with it, but I have had several women make it absolutely
clear to me that they are intested, sitting down to join me at a lunch table, stopping me to introduce themselves,
or telling a mutual aquaintance how interested they are.
so you think it works better or worse
with no cover?

In a suit,
I am not
surprised. I have OFTEN worn straight Primal/men without a cover, back before there even was an NPA, and later
straight NPA as well. I only applied to wrists and kept the amount down nice and mellow. The amount is key and
keeping it away from nose level. You probably could get by with even more if you split the application into very
small portions and distributed them around the body. It is *safer* to use at least a small amount of cover, but not
absolutely necessary.

BruceOn sort of the same note, I've noticed that I have gotton strong responses
to pheros after the cover scent has begun to wear off and the phero smell is coming through. It's taken me a while
to realize that although I may think I stink, women aren't necessarily put off by the smell.

I have
to edit this to add that I am minimalist by nature. When I say "stink", I don't mean an overpowering stench that
would give a boar a headache...

The easiest alternative is 1
drop sandalwood essential oil (spread around) as a cover. If you had only 1-2 application points, you'd even need
less than that.
You were talking about the men's formula, right?

I don't find the smell of NPA or The Edge offensive myself. NPA is a little too acrid
for me, but not foul, and I actually kind of like the smell of TE. I'm just so sensitive to the none, that I'm
afraid I may be offensive to others when wearing it. Especially after reading all the "cat piss" comments here.

After all the years of pheromone
use, I am pretty good at judging how far out on a limb I can go with the various pheromone smells, but what always
shocks me is when I end up at the gym with what seems to me like a developing case of "that guy needs a shower", and
nearby women move closer and/or strike up a conversation.

This has happened to me as
well, and all I can think of is how bad the timing is when they want me and all I want is a bath ...
Interesting, this is the first time I've heard of someone else experiencing this same phenomenon ...
Very frustrating, why do they want you when you are uncomfortably sweaty? Of course, the answer is probably
in our pheromones .. the trick is to get the same effect with the synthetic products while you are still clean and
comfortable ...

ok, this sounded
interesting so today I put on two teeny dabs of NPA onto my shorts, crotch area (I can't stand the smell of it but
didn't notice it at all from that distance). And, I only have the NPA because after a disaster or two with it
(definite OD) I just stuck it away, it's a couple of years old I think. I went to the market and nothing happened
till I got into the checkout lane when a woman about 3-4 checkout lanes away from me just looked, definite DIHL, and
her eyes followed me all my way out the store. She was about 40 and looked nice, about a 7 for those who care.
This was what seemed like a full minute DIHL.
Does NPA smell that bad? I just
ordered it but I plan to use cover scents with it. What can the smell be compared to?

It has been compared to cat
piss repeatedly.

One time I OD'ed on Chikara and
I smelt cat piss.
Does TE smell different? and does
the smell normally come only when you OD or does it smell like that even with minimal use?

My nose may not be that
sensitive, but with the mones I use (Chikara, TE gel, SOE) I normally can't even tell it's on, unless it has a
cover scent (Chikara).

Some guys can't smell the none in TE and NPA, all they
smell is an alcohol smell. So care really has to be taken to not OD.

Te is basically dilluted NPA, so the smell is similar, with NPA being stronger in stink. Even
with minimal use, there is a smell. How noticable it is to others though, I couldn't tell you. I seem to be
extremely sensitive to none, so I can smell even the tiniest dab if close to my face.

I'm suprised no one has noticed the smell. Well it's more
likely that people have, but they are to kind to tell you. Some people might just think the smell is coming from
somewhere else and not you.
I read somewhere that a guy used to put NPA/m on his sneakers, and if someones nose
was sensitive enough to smell it... they wouldn't be able to pinpoint where its coming from.

I don't know, I put stuff on at 7 AM before going to college (I work there, not smart
enough to be a a student :) :) ), and still smell it when I get home at 6-7 PM.
Yea, you smell it, but are you
getting the reactions you want?
There's a difference there. Pheromones will still be on/in the skin, but
the effectiveness won't be the same.
