In previous reports we described the early time sequence in in vitro [4-14C]

pregnenolone metabolism in human and rat testicular homogenates and, apart from a difference in the preferred route

of the conversion of pregnenolone to testosterone, we demonstrated the presence of delta 16-synthetase activity in

human but not in rat testes. "In the study of testicular function higher monkeys are increasingly used as

a model for human reproduction. The availability of testes from 2 different species of macaques (rhesus and crab

eating monkeys) enabled us to compare the in vitro metabolism of pregnenolone in these testes with human testes. The

pattern obtained in both monkey species were very similar, but completely different from those found in man. The

delta 4 pathway was the preferred route for the conversion of pregnenolone to testosterone in the monkeys tested,

the delta 5 pathway in the humans. delta 16-Synthetase activity, a prerequisite for the synthesis of the sex

pheromone precursors 5,16-androstadien-3 beta-ol and 4,16-androstadien-3-one, was clearly measurable in the human

but not in the monkey testicular homogenates. So far, man and boar are the only species harbouring delta

16-synthetase activity in their testes. These in vitro data indicate that the nonhuman primates studied are not

suitable models for the study of human testicular

function."

"The biosynthesis of testosterone and 4-androstene-3,17-dione and some

16-androstenes has been studied in homogenates or subcellular fractions of testes from 3-week-old Landrace

piglets. Pregnenolone was converted into 5,16-androstadien-3 beta-ol

(Androstadienol), 4,16-androstadien-3-one (Androstadienone), 5

alpha-androst-16-en-3-one (Androstenone) and 5 alpha-androst-16-en-3 alpha- and 3 beta-ols

(Androstenol, Beta-Androstenol ect..), but the quantities were some 50 times

less than those formed in the mature boar testis. Androgens were also formed in the microsomal fractions but

the quantities of 4-androstene-3,17-dione (4-Androstenedione) (from side-chain cleavage of

17-hydroxyprogesterone) and of testosterone (from reduction of 4-androstene-3,17-dione) were 50-70

times lower than in the adult animal. The kinetic parameters and cofactor preference of the 3 alpha- and 3

beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases were determined in the cytosolic, microsomal and mitochondrial fractions of

neonatal porcine testes"

Though the above is just

saying that Pigs (boars) produce 50-70 times more 16-androstene metabolites (Pheromones, thats probably were all

that stuff saying pheromone products contain only Pig pheromones came from..)

But it clearly states that Pregnenolone is the Precursor to Androstadienol,

Androstadienone, Androstenone, Androstenol, Beta-Androstenol and 4-Androstenedione. DHEA and Testosterone are also

converted to various 16-androstene metabolites (Pheromones).

Increasing your DHEA, Testosterone

and Pregnenolone levels will increase your pheromone output substantially (Pregnenolone taking the biggest part of

this process since it is the actual Precusor of Testosterone and DHEA in the first place).

...and cholesterol is a

precurser to "prenenologne" ( ;) ), or did I miss a step out?

DHEA is a precursor to most

all of the mones, too. Preg creates too many feminine hormones for my taste, in terms of supplementation. DHEA is

more likely to go to testosterone and the 16-androstenes than preg. Still, it might be good for many in small

amounts, like 5 mg or something.

"Pregnenolone is synthesized

from cholesterol. This conversion involves hydroxylation at the side chain at C20 and C22 positions, with cleavage

of the side chain. The enzyme performing this task is cytochrome 450scc, located in the mitochondria, and

controlled by pituitary tropic hormones, such as ACTH, FSH, LH."

You could increase preg by increasing

above highlighted hormones by taking SERMS a.k.a anti-estrogens such as nolvadex or clomid, if its legal in your

country that is.

So is prenenologne is the actual precursor of pheromones? Testosterone is never converted

to pheromones? What about progesterone?
