And how old are we

again (http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040719/ap_on_re_us/schwarzenegger_girlie_men)?

Name calling has always

impresed me in as a leadership attribute.

Hey, at the very

least, he's setting a good example for the young'ns.

Such class.

Or, are they setting an example

for him?

"Your a buggerhead"
"Am not, you are"
"Uh huh, you are"
"Your mean, I don't wanna play with you

anymore"
"Baby!"

The state senate or the school yard, I can't tell.

His name will probably be on my

college diploma very soon. Oy!

Finally, Arnold is

pulling the gloves off! That's what we elected him to do. The state legislature has been a pit of special

interest corruption for decades. I'm all for his proposals to:

1) make it a part time legislature
2)

which implies a big cut in pay
3) and fixing that reduced pay for some years, say 5, and
4) redistricting to

eliminate all these safe seats.

Tut tut all you want, but strong words are a fair warning before strong

action.

It doesn't bother me

personally, but it might not be a prudent thing to say as Governor of California, as offending groups like that is

self-defeating for a politician. I say a lot of un-PC things myself. But I would try to leave insensitive things out

of official gov't communications if it were me, as such things kill the message often, preventing it from being

really heard and understood, and reducing effectiveness. It's not the right way, from a political skills

standpoint. No one that voted for Arnold should be complaining, however, as that is just who he is. He has a he-man

jock mentality. If Ditka gets elected it will be da same ting, only worse.

I don't understand why

"girlie-man" is anti-gay. He wasn't calling the legislators fags. I liked his speech.

The only people complaining are

the ones who benefit from "political correctness." Those are the people we have to bust and the broader population

understands that.

"Political correctness" is just a mindgame to cover for special interest giveaways and the

takeaway of general freedom. Of course we all need a degree of politeness in public discourse but there comes a

time.

Besides, Arnold's principal opponent, John Burton, is a notorious foul mouth. Arnold's speech is

G-rated in comparison.

Of course

we all need a degree of politeness in public discourse but there comes a time....for adolescent

emotionalism. :trout:
