He was 80 and had a lot of great

opportunities during his lifetime. I don't think it is such a big deal.

A loss of life

is always a big deal.... young or old... we should ALL be mourned!!!

I agree that it sucks whenever

(almost) anyone dies, but I don't feel too bad about Brando. Probably because I didn't like what he did with his

kids. He just seemed like a pretty irresponsible, self-centered guy, but maybe I am wrong about that.

I just liked his acting. He was

one of the greatest in the history of film in my opinion.

You know, when we post these

"somebody dies" threads, it might be more prudent to post them in the appreciation forum, if y'all get my

drift. ;)

BTW, my "very sad" schtick was

supposed to be Godfather-style dialect. Get it? :)

"STELLA!!!...STELLA!!!"

Brando was one of the greats...From Streetcar to Apocalypse Now...His pioneering of

"The Method" which he learned at the Actors Studio run by Lee Strasbourg has greatly influenced todays actors...His

personal life was far from a bed of roses but I try to evaluate artists based on their body of work, not their

personal lives. Brando had his share of problems but who am I to judge...I can only imagine what it must be like to

have to deal with that level of fame, wealth & prominence...I'm sure its not as easy as it looks.
