Paul certain androgens have been used in hormonal therapy for a long time. All androgens are are the class of hormonal drugs (i.e. testosterone). We here in the states just t ake a bit longer to jump on what allot of the medical world already has in place. (FDA guidlines take forever to get anything approved....testing, testing, test = $$$. Not knocking it, as it is a good system...but takes forever and is really costly)

A fertile woman has three basic sets of sexual hormones - Testosterone is indeed one. It too declines around menopause so good HRT will consider and supplement as needed all three.

On the other hand, T seems to increase naturally around age 40, at least relative to the others, and women become much more self-assured about their sexual needs. There also seems to be an increase in masturbation and sexual aggressiveness.

Giving small, occasional does of androgens to women will get them horny! However, they also get bitchy and irritable so watch out! Be specially careful with methyltestosterone used in certain prescription meds. This is one of the steriods known for \"\'roid rage\" and really spins them up.

The book to read is \"The Alchemy of Love and Lust\" by Theresa Crenshaw.
