We have had several
of these threads, and now with the new ladies on the forum I figured it would be a good time to start one again. I
spend so much time talking to SRH by PM about our favorite products and scents....we may as well share them on the
forum.
I\'ll start....
have any of you ever tried an asprin facial? They have become so popular that MUA
(www.Makeupalley.com) has its own seperate review for them under Productville. You just crush up several
lightly coated (or uncoated if you can find them) asprin\'s and add something to them. You can use a moisterizer,
water, honey, vinegar.....I am off to try it and will post my review. It is supposed to leave your pores tiny and
your skin a soft as can be.

Cool idea,
you man-grabbing wench, you!
There\'s another new thing out - haven\'t tried it,yet. A South African plastic
surgeon has come up with a procedure that calls for moving this small roller over your skin that makes
micro-incisions as it goes. Lets collagen be absorbed directly into your skin without needles and stuff. They say it
can be used repeatedly on any part of the body. Home version also available. Awaiting guinea pig reports, will
update.
And a neat thing from Sally Hansen. Airbrush make-up in a can for legs. You can get away with no tan OR
nylons. Stays put, but makes one helluva mess from the overspray when you apply it. I suggest going out on the patio
or deck. Makes for a quick alternative to self-tanners.

You can also get airbrush in a can self tanners. You can get them
at Sally\'s Beauty Supply. You spray them on and they go on with a bronze color and will last for several
days.

Yeah. I bought a good airbrush rig last year, and it works great.
However - it takes several hours for the DHA to do its thing, and meanwhile, the bronzer will sweat or run right
off. So the spray make-up is good for when you need an instant fix-up.

I know a guy who did 5 of them about 2 weeks ago. I\'m just waiting to
see how it went. If it works, this is really good, because you can put collagen virtually all over, no limit. In
theory, you could take some serious years off ALL your skin, rather than spot-treating.

If you have really sensitive skin, it may burn a tiny bit. You
definitely know it is there. It didn\'t come off as easily as I expected. I thought I would be able to splash
water on it and it would come right off. I had to use a washcloth to get it all. Sure enough my skin looks great, it
has that glow, invisible pores, but it is a bit red from the facial.

That makes sense. I use the airbrush solution in a spray
bottle and then use a puff to even it out. I love the way the airbrush solution looks. It gets you darker much
faster than regular sunless lotion.

speaking of
aspirin, on the major network news last night, 1 regular aspirin per day = 20% reduction in breast cancer
likliehood.

Thanks. Maybe I\'ll give it a try, then. But not today. I have to leave in a little while,
and don\'t want to be all red.

<hr /></blockquote><font
class=\"post\">
True! I\'ve been getting product from Chief Tan (\"http://chief-tan.com/\") . It
does a good job. With a regular airbrush, you apply so little, that you don\'t really spread it with anything but
the brush. I could see why you might want to with a spray bottle, though. I\'ve come up with another good
technique for applying it: Get a regular kitchen sponge, wet it, wring it out. dip it sparingly in the DHA tanner,
spread where you want it. (I use a 10% solution, because I\'m naturally olive. Use 7.5% if you\'re naturally
lighter.) Apply a light moisturizer over the top, using your hands to smooth. Works just as well as anything you get
from a cosmetics counter, and better than most at a substantially lower cost than the brand names or tanning places.
Like airbrushing, a reapplication the following day will get you very dark, and results will last up to 10 days
before you need to refresh it.
There are other expensive products like Super Braun used by competitive dancers,
skaters, cheerleaders, and body builders, and they will deliver a super-dark result if you have the patience for
multiple messy applications. However, I\'ve noticed they do not wear down nearly as smoothly as the airbrush
product. I\'ve noticed a kind of flaking look on some users, a shade sometimes too orange-y for light-skinned
people, and what looks like a mild allergic reaction. It has to be the background ingredients, because DHA is a
completely non-allergenic substance the body manufactures internally on its own.
(A search for the perfect fake
bake was my last adventure in cosmetic chemistry <G>.)

Hope you don\'t mind me butting in but I\'m wondering how women feel about
Collagen. Next month I will be opening a Website that will sell a few unique skin de-aging and antiaging products. I
have the opportunity to distribute a line of Collagen products that are micronized. The collagen is broken down to
such a small size that it easily penetrates through the epidermis to the dermis and builds up the skin from below
the surface. No needles or micro-incisions necessary. All the products I\'m selling have the same micronized,
penetrating characteristics so the Collagen will fit in nicely. I haven\'t inked the deal yet cuz I wasn\'t sure
how big the market would be for it and the initial order is a bit high. Lots of inventory to move to get the $

surgeon has come up with a procedure that calls for moving this small roller over your skin that makes
micro-incisions as it goes. OUCH !!! Lets collagen be absorbed directly into your skin without needles and
stuff. They say it can be used repeatedly on any part of the body. Home version also available. Awaiting guinea pig
reports, will update.
And a neat thing from Sally Hansen. Airbrush make-up in a can for legs. You can get away
with no tan OR nylons. Stays put, but makes one helluva mess from the overspray when you apply it. I suggest going
out on the patio or deck. Makes for a quick alternative to self-tanners.

Hope you don\'t mind me butting in but I\'m wondering how women feel about Collagen. Next
month I will be opening a Website that will sell a few unique skin de-aging and antiaging products. I have the
opportunity to distribute a line of Collagen products that are micronized. The collagen is broken down to such a
small size that it easily penetrates through the epidermis to the dermis and builds up the skin from below the
surface. No needles or micro-incisions necessary. All the products I\'m selling have the same micronized,
penetrating characteristics so the Collagen will fit in nicely. I haven\'t inked the deal yet cuz I wasn\'t sure
how big the market would be for it and the initial order is a bit high. Lots of inventory to move to get the $
back.
Feedback from the L-S Babes would be greatly appreciated.
Also I\'d like to note that these Threads
about women\'s stuff really get me randy. I love the various smells of a woman. All those oils and creams and

I don\'t know much about collagen. I am pretty free from
wrinkles now, but I know that when the time comes I am using whatever the best available procedure is to defy age.

The microincisions I was talking about are so shallow, they don\'t even
cause any bleeding. All they do is puncture the outermost layer so the collagen can really be absorbed. Most
products that exfoliate actually make that outer layer smoother - which does nothing good for absorption of skin
care products.
And no, I would not spend a pile of money to distribute a collagen product until or unless I saw
the test data, gave it a good test run myself, and knew for an absolute fact the product worked as advertised or
better. Cosmetic claims like that are made every day of the week, and in just about every other piece of spam I see.
And if the product was truly fabulous and The Next Great Thing, they wouldn\'t need you at all, would they?

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
My understanding is that the at-home treatment is something that
is repeated regularly. It can be used to introduce other substances, such as vitamin E, to the skin. I also saw that
the office procedure can be repeated. AFAIK, there isn\'t much that is done to the surface of the skin that
doesn\'t get repeated in the doctor\'s office. For example, I had some red splotches on my arms lased. It only
got about half of them. I will have to go back to get them removed the rest of the way. Whutta racket!

I talked to my girl. She

guy to kick his a**. Of course, I told him to lay off. If he so much as touches a hair on this stud's head, the

But boyfriend does agree about the Tarkan song, and will provide any bad

'Bout time this one got bumped
again!
It's just about impossible to do all your own airbrushing unless you're a contortionist. And even if
you could reach, you wouldn't be able to see what you were doing well enough to do a good job. That's why I came
up with the spounge (spong? spongue? : ) method.
Elana
06-10-2004, 08:00 AM
I figured as much. They now sell
these light plastic airbrush units on one of those Home Shopping channels. I could see that being easier to use on
yourself than one of the professional models, but still, it would be very difficult to get everything even.

If you see each other every week, it could work out. Maybe.
Thing is, how you gonna get that second coat on, without driving back and forth? Do buy a better airbrush, though!
If you just want to experiment first, go to a good art supply and get a little airbrush cannister. It's like a can
of hairpray with a tube on it. They use 'em to do airbrush nails sometimes. Costs under $10, usually. I'm thinking
you might be able to do the spongue thing everywhere else, then spray you hands and feet only.:)
