I would

assume the dab there is as always: Take off the cap, put your finger in the mouth of the bottle, and move it upside

down. Then use the amount that is left in your finger, which is about 0.02ml or less... A drop is about 0.05ml.

The way I understand \"dabs\" is that you pry out the dropper cap, place a finger over the mouth of

the bottle and turn the bottle upside down. The amount of product left on the finger after returning the bottle to

the upright position is one dab.

I\'ve tried it both ways and I like the dabbing better without the dropper

cap on. It comes off easily but should be replaced after dabbing as I think some bottles don\'t seal well without

the dropper part in place.

Also, make sure your hands are clean to avoid contaminating the bottle.

That\'s a good question. IIRC, I read that it wasn\'t as important

with the alcohol based products. maybe one of the old timers here will answer that.

As it is, I think it\'s

good practice anyway. And If I\'m using more than one product, I\'ll use a different finger for each one to

avoid cross contamination of products.

Thinking more about NPA, you might want to try the dabs with and without

the dropper top on to find out what\'s best for you. I put some NPA into a smaller vial for dabbing, the opening

of the vial isn\'t any larger than 1/4 inch. Even one dab from that little bottle smells strong to me and I can

catch whiffs of it throughout the day, making me wonder if I\'m offensive to others.
