Hi,

this thread is dedicated to those who spilled Pheros.

I am the first. I spilled it over my

trousers and my swaetshirt when I opened the bottle the first time.

I sure you all have good advice what I should

do now.

I almost did. Does that count?

The cork won\'t stay in (happily not a metaphor for something

else).

miles against the wind.

Sorry about your \"tragedy\"! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I\'m not sure

you\'re literally the first, but you\'re the first that counts. I actually spilled half a bottle on the floor

and myself in a smoky bar one night. People got pretty friendly, though a couple people acknowledged that the smell

was very strong. But I walked out having arranged a date with someone I just met while wearing the

Pheros-soaked garments.

MM,

I would take those clothes and close them up in a drawer or closet to let them act as a \"sachet\", to

fragrance your other clothes.
No sense wasting it by washing it away in my opinion!

Spilled 2 bottles so far MM, the first time was AE (the old one) and managed to get a good amount back in but it

fuked the wooden surface up where it had tipped over. The second was my beloved AFA - spilled that onto my carpet,

the entire bottle, only had a dropper and a half or so left of it

CJ - they are talking about the product Pheros

I spilt a couple of drops down my arm, which

doesn\'t really count but still serves as a lesson.

p.s is it just me or does anyone else feel that they are

more likely to spill something when you\'re having a phero buzz?

camusflage
04-13-2004, 11:23 AM
I\'ve

found a way to keep from spilling the goods. I keep small one dram vials (from

Carolina Biological (\"http://www.carolina.com/\")) stocked with my pheros. This allows me to easily

carry a small supply, keep from spilling (any appreciable quantity of) them, keeps them nice and clean and

non-gunky, and allows me to store them in a cool dark place. I only use syringes (glass, and well cleaned before and

after each use) or their built-in droppers to transfer from the \"reagent\" bottle to minimize contamination. By

transferring only 1 ml or so at a time, it keeps the working supply fresh while leaving the main supply undisturbed.

Even better, it allows for easy dabs that are consistent across products.

I

spilled Pheros the second time I used it... left a green stain on my shirt. I find it hard to uncork it without

spilling any...

Used pheros for the second time to bed and had all sorts of dreams again, with some wierd stuff

and some sex in there.... I almost never dream, and it usually doesn\'t include sex....

I found that spreading

my dabs around with unscented lotion makes the scent more pleasant.... a lot of people have been saying it is better

when it is less concentrated and/or dies down.... I think spreading around works for this, plus you can put on

Also, I didn\'t have the allergies after I did that, though I will say I used very little and

couldn\'t smell it that well after spreading it around.

I don\'t understand why this product would be easy to spill, honestly. The time it happened to me I

attempted to lift the bottle by the cork. How is happening to you?

bjf
04-14-2004, 01:23 PM
You have to shove in the cork to make sure it doesn\'t spill. Then you have to get it out and it doesn\'t slide

out easily, so a bottle filled to the top can easily exude product if the bottle isn\'t level when you pry off the

cork

It would be a good idea to go back and read DST\'s instructions about the cork. You probably

need to replace it.

What? I used it

only three times and now need a new cork?? I don\'t think there is honestly anything wrong with it yet though,

because it isn\'t slipping out like some people\'s corks...

Mine doesn\'t leak and I do not have to shove it in. It removes easily. As far as I have heard, few

if any people are having the problem you describe. Corks are natural products and have wide variations.

Did you

read the doc\'s advice about them?

bjf
04-14-2004, 01:59 PM
Yea I did. I have had on and off problems with it leaking on the side, I guess based on how swollen the cork is,

but since I don\'t want to waste any product, I\'ll keep it upright.

Part of the reason I sometimes have

trouble taking to cork out is because I left on the wax on the top because I like how it looks and smells.

belgareth
04-14-2004, 02:11 PM
Then the cork is going to dry out and leak more. Eventually, you\'ll have evaporation issues too. You

can put it in a different container with a snug lid, buy a new cork or even a rubber stopper.

Sacogoo
04-14-2004, 02:35 PM
Yeah, I sometimes experience a little leakage when mine gets swollen too.

<hr /></blockquote><font

class=\"post\">

One caveat: It is best to be gentle and never push the cork in too far, as this wears it

out. That is the key. If you don\'t, eventually you will have to keep grabbing it with your fingernails to get it

out and the cork will break, if you push it way far in too often. If the cork sees ready to break, it is time to get

a new one, to avoid having to cut the cork to get it out of the bottle. It is not \"how far you push it in\" that

keeps the cork in place.

A gentle rocking back and forth removes the cork. You don\'t need 2 hands if you

practice: Use your thumb and forefinger while grasping the bottle with your other 3 fingers. If you wipe cork and

inner neck with a clean tissue, you can put the cork back in just enough, then store on side until it swells up

better.

If all this fails, and you read and tried the \"care of cork\" instructions, etc., then you have

to buy a few extra #3 corks, which are very cheap, and that will be the end of the problem. The bottle is reusable,

so you\'d want to do that eventually anyway.

I hope this helps. I always found the corks to be kind of

fun. People would sometimes strike up convos with me when I had the bottle out, perhaps imagining me to be a pirate

or someone who owned a genie. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
