How to Raise Your Natural Pheromone Levels

If you came to the Pheromone Information Library you are probably trying to find out how applying pheromones can increase you sex appeal or social interactions in general, or the science behind it all. While there are many products out there that fall under the pheromone cologne category, there are some that claim to boost your natural pheromone production. While I don’t recommend buying these products (at least the ones I’ve seen), the principle has merit and is often used by experienced pheromoners.

How it’s done

The basic pretence is that there are a few physiological attributes that have an effect on pheromone production. The most prominent of these is testosterone levels. Even though I’ve heard stories about people taking steroids getting some reactions that are similar to those you would expect from pheromones, I think this would be a quite extreme method to achieve something quite simple.

Here are a few easy ways to optimise your testosterone:

-Take a zinc supplement

Used in the supplement ZMA, zinc is required in some of the metabolic pathways which produce testosterone. You can also buy it easily as an immunity boosting supplement. I would suggest working up to a dosage of about 30-45mg per day (perhaps not all at once though). I wouldn’t advise going above 50mg of zinc a day. 100 mg is toxic, but it’s better to be safe than sorry, especially when you can feel significant changes at the 30-45mg level.

-Take a DHEA supplement

This is a little more serious (still popular though) than just taking zinc because DHEA is a prohormone and a precursor to testosterone. Take only up to 10mg per day, preferably less, especially if you are younger.

-Take some herbal supplements

These include Tribulus, Yohombe, etc. Again, I think these are a bit more extreme (especially Yohombe which I’ve heard can be dangerous).

The other factors that increase pheromone production are harder to specifically target, but you can still do a lot to help out in most departments.

Generally being in good health plays a big part, and a good diet is a good way to keep yourself in good condition. I won’t start lecturing about the specifics of a good diet, you all should know what one is. In general though, keep it balanced, plenty of fruit, veg and fiber etc. Drinking enough water is a much overlooked aspect of diet as well. You could also take a good multivitamin and mineral supplement, as even with a good diet some of these nutrients could benefit from being supplemented. You might want to look into an amino acid supplement – many of these have properties that are beneficial to wellbeing and pheromone production (e.g. L-Arginine amongst others stimulates the release of human growth hormone).

Last an certainly not least is exercise. Exercise has too many health benifits to list here, but it’s important to mention that if you exercise regularly your testosterone is probably higher than a non-exerciser. Working up a good sweat is also great for your skin and pores, flushing out toxins and helping to spread out your natural pheromones on your skin.

A slightly less mainstream method of optimizing natural pheromone output is to ensure that the pheromones you have already produced are working to their best potential. In brief, as it isn’t really the subject of the article, some people have seen results using Sandalwood Essential Oil instead of their usual deodorant and showering slightly less often and less vigorously in their arm pits. Please note that I am not advocating stinking of BO, definitely shower verywell if that happens, but the Sandalwood should keep you smelling pleasant for longer as it kills of the bacteria that create the bad odor whilst promoting “friendly” bacteria. Generally, developing more sophisticated bathing techniques that prevent you from smelling bad while not washing off your natural pheromones will reap rewards. These “pheromone friendly” practices include:

  • washing with hot water without soap when you don’t have bad body odor
  • sweating out toxins and clearing pores with exercise or a sauna

 

Using these methods you can get what the pheromone production booster products claim to give you, but for much less than they would ask you to shell out.
